Overall, Adventure World is made to be enjoyable for everyone in the family, from young children to grandparents.
There are several ticketing choices at Adventure World for individuals (children, adults, seniors aged over 60, pension or concession card holders, students), families, or small groups.
This park is also great for school field trips. It’s Perth’s most action-packed and thrilling place for children, nestled in stunningly designed botanical gardens.

Ride the Goliath
Get thrilled as the massive pendulum of the Goliath ride swings higher in the air and the pendulum base slowly turns. Swinging at up to 17.8 metres per second and at angles of up to 120 degrees, these turns also create a flying rush at daunting heights.
Because of this, we think not many kids can brave this ride, so it’s best to guide and accompany them at all times.
Plus, it helps to treat them to dessert afterwards to either reward or calm them down. Of course, don’t forget to buy yourself a sandwich, beer, or coffee nearby as well.
Get Your Thrills from the Abyss Ride at Adventure World
Australia’s cutting-edge white-knuckle ride technology is used on the Abyss, a custom-built roller coaster. This thrilling ride takes around 2 minutes.
The 630-metre journey includes a dark section, a 100-foot lift, a nearly vertical drop, four inversions, a zero-g roll, a rollover loop, a cobra roll, and an inline loop – so we believe this isn’t for the fainthearted!
Still, this rollercoaster is Adventure World’s single largest investment at $12 million. This reassures us that the Abyss was designed with a lot of care.
Another fun fact: this ride is recognised by the Australian Coaster Club’s founder and won silver for ‘Best New Tourism Development’ from the Western Australian Tourism Awards in 2014.
Conquer the Kraken
If you have 3 other friends with you, the Kraken slide may just be your perfect ride. It offers a 4-person raft, so you can brave the twists and turns with fun company.
With a drop of 30 metres over 260 metres, the Kraken or ProSlide Tornado 60 slide is among the world’s longest, steepest, and tallest funnel slides.
Note that your photo will be taken on this ride using flash photography, so better show a great smile like you would with a typical photographer.
Also, GoPros are allowed on this ride, but only when they’re secured to a chest strap.
Face Your Fears and Try the Rampage
Some say the scariest attraction at Adventure World could be the Rampage. You’ll be pulled up, down, and spinning to the ground by this ride.
Riders would imaginatively feel the Minotaur’s (part man, part bull mythical creature) fury as they get away from the Rampage’s grasp. Even though kids may have a go, this ride is stricter with the rider’s height limit (between 145 and 195 cm) and health.
Riders mustn’t have any of the following health issues:
- Surgery done recently
- Neck, back, and bone injury
- High blood pressure
- Heart problems
- Nervous disorders
- Pregnancy
- Motion sickness
If you’re not sure what to do, it’s best to talk to the right specialist, like a rheumatologist, neurologist, cardiologist, obstetrician, or others beforehand.
Swing Around at the Black Widow
If you think spiders are a cool theme for a ride, then you’ll have to be at least 130 cm tall to enjoy the Black Widow.
This attraction is the only one of its kind in the southern hemisphere. As it keeps spinning, each rider gets more and more caught in the black widow’s ‘spider web’.
Since this has a lot of rotations going on, it’s crucial to ensure that your safety harness is completely closed, just like when you’re going rock climbing.
All loose items will be asked to be removed beforehand, so we say don’t bother putting on unnecessary loose jewellery and similar items.

If you adore koalas, we recommend taking a trip to the Aussie Wildlife Experience when going to Adventure World.
Visitors can explore a wildlife park, chat with a keeper, and meet kangaroos, dingoes, Dudley the emu, Bluey the wombat, and koalas.
Those who reserve a ‘Koala Experience’ session will get a souvenir framed photo as well. However, this comes with an extra fee.
Season Pass members get 20% off their official photo session too, so you might also want to look into that. But this doesn’t apply to photo packages.
Also, pets aren’t allowed in Adventure World except for registered assistance dogs. Yet, they may still not be permitted in the Aussie Wildlife Park.
Sightsee Picturesque Views from the Rail Rider
The Rail Rider allows guests to pedal across the sky 4 metres above the ground. This seems great because you can take in Adventure World’s beauty while viewing it from above.
Sights of Bibra Lake can be seen as you cross the Main Admission Entry as well. Visitors also pass underneath, and if you squint, you might be able to make out the city of Perth.
But besides the minimum height of 90 cm, keep in mind that there’s also a weight limit of 150 kg for 2 seats. Though this could be a hassle, we think this policy helps keep riders safe throughout the ride.
To be sure, perhaps this could also be a motivation for you and your partner to hit the gym or do some yoga or Pilates first?
Have Fun on the Dragon Express
Your kids may be amazed by this ride as they climb inside a purple dragon! Many children ride the Dragon Express with their parents, so we think this is a great start for their roller coaster experience.
Riders will be spun around on a track that has been mainly constructed for young daredevils as it speeds, twirls, and turns them.
Make sure to secure all loose and valuable items with another person you’re with by the queue entry – the park won’t provide a storage place for these.
Slide Down the Rocky Mountain Rapids
Rocky Mountain Rapids may look like a peaceful trip until you hit the rapid waters! To go on this attraction, you must be at least 110 cm tall and weigh a maximum of 90 kg.
No matter how many times you bump around each bend of the Rocky Mountain Rapids, you may never be completely ready for its thrills. Still, a lot of kids have successfully braved this ride.
All loose items must be removed prior to the ride, too. Due to the physical demands of this trip, riders must be in good health and free from physical limitations or known medical issues.
Discover the Hawaiian-Themed Kahuna Falls
When Kahuna Falls first opened, it was the largest aqua-play theme park in Australia. Here, you can ride the lava tubes down the Hawaiian volcano and challenge the curse of the Tiki God, Chief Tonga Wonga.
This Perth attraction has over 100 water-play attractions, including a gigantic bucket that tips over 1000 gallons of water every day. There are also rumbling drums, ‘smoky volcanoes’, and the mysterious witch doctor.
After all the fun and soaking, we recommend unwinding at Kahuna Café. It’s mostly known for the burgers, fish and chips, and beer – though many of their items could be more expensive than others.
To save money, consider getting a season pass to get 25% off (excluding specials and combos).
There are also luxury cabanas for rent, as well as sun loungers and thatched umbrellas, so you can relax on your Hawaiian vacation at Kahuna Falls.
Soar Up and Down the Little Reaper Ride
If any of your kids are fans of Rapunzel, her castle, or dragons, this next ride is highly recommended.
The Little Leaper ride in Dragon’s Kingdom will excite your children as they quickly ascend 6 metres into the air before descending back to earth!
To share the enchantment as kids soar up and down with a Dragon Rapunzel, parents and guardians are also welcome to ride together with their children.
Be a Pirate at the Buccaneer Battle
For a joyous pirate adventure on the pool, exploring the Buccaneer Battle attraction might be your next best stop. You’ll only need to be taller than 90 cm to ride, but you have to be accompanied by an adult if you aren’t over 12 cm.
As you travel around Mutiny Bay and repel intruders from your vessel, don your pirate hat and get ready for a naval battle. Pirates (statues) are constantly watching you on your high-seas trip from the Crow’s Nest.
Friendly advice: help your kids relax on the vessel, so they don’t tip over. This attraction may be safe, but that doesn’t guarantee that no kid will need a change of clothes later.
How to Get to Adventure World
Perth is only a 25-minute drive away, and Fremantle is only 15 minutes away from Adventure World.
If you’re travelling by car from Perth, take the Kwinana Freeway, exit at Farrington Rd, turn right, and follow the signage to the park.
Otherwise, from Fremantle, take South St, turn right at North Lake Rd, turn left at Gwilliam Rd, then follow the signage to Adventure World.
But if you’re coming from Mandurah, there are a couple more steps. Take the Kwinana Freeway, exit at Beelier Drive, turn left, turn right onto Midgegooroo Ave, turn left onto North Lake Rd, and follow the park’s signage.
Alternatively, public transportation makes it easy to get to the park, too. Just take the Mandurah train line to Cockburn station and jump on Bus 520 to Fremantle – this will lead you to the park entrance.
Take note that Bus 520 runs every 30 minutes from Mondays to Fridays and every hour on weekends.
