Sing your heart out at the best karaoke bars in Perth
Honestly, who hasn’t pretended to be Beyoncé in the shower? I’m talking about a full-on “Love on Top” performance with a shampoo bottle as a mic and rubber duckies as a loyal fanbase.
My friends and I are guilty of this, which is why our go-to hangout spots are karaoke bars around the city.
If you, too, think it’s time to trade your shampoo bottle for a real microphone, this guide is for you! After countless karaoke sessions, here are our favourite karaoke bars in Perth that you might also end up loving.
Galaxy Lounge
Location: 65 Francis St, Northbridge
Website: http://galaxylounge.com.au/
Contact details: 08 9228 9991
Operating hours: Tuesday to Sunday: 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM
For a karaoke night filled with glamour and sparkles, head over to Galaxy Lounge in Northbridge. With rooms with capacities ranging from 8 to 25 people, there’s a place for any type and size of karaoke party.
Their song selection is impressively broad, featuring songs from various countries. While the selection of rap songs is somewhat limited, the R&B selection is one of the widest in the city.
The karaoke bar also offers an array of delicious food. The BBQ pork buns are a must-try—they will add an extra layer of enjoyment to your night.
Pro Tip:
Come during weekdays! The rooms are much cheaper on weekdays, with some being offered at almost half the rate for weekend visits.
Ferrara Karaoke Bar
Location: Queen St, Perth
Website: http://www.ferrarabar.com.au/
Contact details: 08 9481 1909, [email protected]
Operating hours:
Tuesday to Friday: 8:00 PM to 2 AM
Saturday: 8:00 PM to 3:00 AM
Ferrara Karaoke Bar is one of the longest-running karaoke bars in Perth, established in 1991.
Ferrara doesn’t have private booths, so you’re essentially performing for everyone in the bar. Admittedly, a shot or two may be necessary to muster the courage for your moment in the spotlight, but don’t worry—the cocktail menu will surely ease any nerves.
Try Hershey’s chocolate martini, one of our favourite martinis in the city. If you can’t wait to sing and need that spike in spirit as soon as possible, their Absolut vodka martini will be your best friend.
Pro Tip:
Avoid visiting on Fridays and weekends. The karaoke bar gets really busy during those times, and you might have to wait for hours just to sing one song.
Prince Lane Bar
Location: 356 Murray St, Perth
Website: http://www.princelane.com.au/
Contact details: (08) 9481 3222, [email protected]

Friday: 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Saturday: 12:00 PM to 1:00 AM

For those who want a more private karaoke party, Prince Lane Bar in Murray Street might be what you’re looking for. Its karaoke suite can cater up to 38 guests, perfect for celebrating a birthday or any special occasion.
The suite is a bit pricey: $120 for room hire and a $650 minimum spend requirement. The price, though, is very much worth it, considering how spacious the suite is and how good the food is.
The pork belly bites and Korean popcorn chicken are the standout dishes on their wide menu. If you want good but budget-friendly drinks, give their Archie Rose drinks a try!
Pro Tip: The karaoke suite must be booked in advance, so make sure to check their website days before you’re planning to go.

Don’t be fooled by the name because Strike Bowling offers more than just a bowling experience. It boasts mini golf facilities, escape rooms, and private karaoke rooms where you can sing your heart out while enjoying a couple of drinks.
After an evening of arcade gaming, cap off the night by renting one of the karaoke rooms for as low as $100 per hour. With a song catalogue spanning over 204 pages and featuring tracks from artists worldwide, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Their pizzas, especially the hot honey salami pizza, exceed expectations from an arcade and bowling place. Pair the pizza with either Tommy’s margarita or strawberry mojito, and you have the perfect night out!
Pro Tip: Visit between Monday and Wednesday because the rooms are much cheaper on those days. A one-hour rent only costs $100, $50 cheaper than on Thursdays to Sundays.
Hit Studio Karaoke
Location: 64 Francis St, Northbridge

Operating hours:
Tuesday to Thursday: 7:00 PM to late
Friday and Saturday: 6:00 PM to late
Sunday: 7:00 PM to late
Another Northbridge karaoke bar you have to visit is Hit Studio on Francis Street. With 20 private rooms, this karaoke bar almost always has a room for anyone looking to sing their night away.
Frequently patronised by groups on spontaneous weeknights and weekends, Hit Studio’s rooms and songs are just perfect for those who want to pretend like they’re in some K-pop band holding a mini-concert.
They have an impressive selection of premium spirits, like Hennesy, Jack Daniels, and Black Label, for those who need some liquid courage. Their cranberry juice and pina colada, though, are just as delicious and won’t leave you too hungover.
Pro Tip: Room rates include drinks and food credit and up to 4 hours of karaoke, so they’d be the cheaper option if you want to stay longer. The bar also offers more affordable rates on Mondays through Thursdays.
MINQ Bar & Lounge
Location: Crown Perth, Great Eastern Hwy, Burswood
Website: https://www.crownperth.com.au/bars/minq
Contact details: +61 8 9362 7699
Operating hours: Friday and Saturday: 8:00 PM to Late
If you’re looking for an intimate but sophisticated karaoke night, MINQ Bar & Lounge offers two private rooms. These rooms accommodate 20 to 40 and 40 to 60 guests, respectively and come with a personal host and self-operating karaoke system.
This has one of the best sound systems out of the karaoke bars on this list. The bass resonates crisply, the vocals project clearly, and the microphones don’t have excessive feedback like the ones in older karaoke bars.
Try their own take on the classic espresso martini, or have a tropical party with their unique pina pandan. But if you want to keep it as classy as the room’s interior, the NV Bollinger Special Cuvée is a safe bet.
Pro Tip: If you’re planning on enquiring about their private rooms, you’ll have to contact them directly through their enquiry form instead of calling their publicised mobile number. Doing so will help you get a faster and more appropriate response.
Heaven on Earth (H.O.E.) Perth
Location: U2 &, U3/310 William St, Northbridge
Website: https://www.facebook.com/p/HOE-Perth-100069712118141/

Monday and Tuesday: 7:00 PM till late
Thursday to Sunday: 7:00 PM till late
When it comes to good skewers, H.O.E. is one of the top karaoke bars we’ll always recommend. With rooms that can accommodate up to 20 people, it serves as an ideal venue for you and your friends to unleash your inner popstar!
The karaoke bar’s song catalogue features one of the most extensive Asian music collections in Perth. With tracks from China, South Korea, India, the Philippines, and so much more, everyone can find a tune to perform.
The hidden gem you shouldn’t miss out on is the soju bowl. Don’t get deceived by its fruity flavour, though, or you’ll find yourself dancing on top of the tables by the end of the night.
Pro Tip: They offer great weeknight deals, so try to visit on those nights. They don’t charge room fees and usually only require customers to spend $40 each on the food and drinks.
