Egawa-An sets the bar high with traditional Edomae-style sushi served as a calm 12-course omakase dinner. The chef uses time-honoured techniques, including ageing fish to bring out deeper, savoury flavours.
We spoke with a diner who attended a recent session and told us the blowtorched fatty tuna practically melted in their mouth.
Plus, the intimate room seats only 12 guests per two-hour seating. This creates a quiet and relaxed atmosphere where you can focus on the food.
However, there’s a strict deposit when booking your seat, where you’ll need to pay $60 per person upfront. Additionally, smart-casual attire is required, so keep the dress code in mind when planning your visit.

Been dining for years and will continue to do so
One of the main OGs in Perth for their own style of “omakase.” Tricky to book a table as they release limited bookings. Otherwise, they’ve been consistently delivering good food. Menu changes each season, but it’s good to see the chef try to keep some familiar dishes each season. Been dining for years and will continue to do so.

Good food as usual
Good food as usual. We had omakase there for my birthday and I think the portion is quite manageable. We also ordered spring roll from the special menu, I would highly recommend everyone to try.

We tried the omakase and enjoyed every dish
We tried the omakase and enjoyed every dish, it was beautifully prepared and presented. Just keep in mind that it’s more of a tasting experience, so the portions are on the smaller side and not very filling. The ambience was great, and I liked watching the chefs in action as they prepared each course.

Great service and experience at Nobu. April who looked after us was very knowledgeable with the menu and helpful with suggestions. The food was of very high standard and every morsel was so delicious and beautifully presented. We had the signature omakase which consists of eight courses and added 4 other dishes.
