The 5 Best Arborists in Perth to Keep Your Trees in Check

  • Safety Credentials and Insurance: We verified that each company employs certified crew members with active liability coverage. Valid credentials help keep your property protected during complex branch removals.
  • Equipment and Capability: We looked for teams equipped with modern chippers, hoists, and specialised narrow-access machinery. This allows arborists to tackle tight suburban yards without damaging surrounding garden beds.
  • Service Versatility: We evaluated whether providers handle both basic pruning and technical tasks like hazard assessments. Comprehensive teams make it easy to manage routine upkeep alongside unexpected storm cleanups.
  • Community Reputation: We assessed client feedback regarding punctuality, site cleanup, and honest pricing. Dependable arborists leave your yard spotless while communicating clearly from quote to project completion.

Storms and unruly branches can quickly turn backyard trees into real hazards. That’s why finding the best arborist in Perth is important when you need safe limb trimming, tree removal, or health reports for council approval.

Professional tree specialists can also help protect your home and keep your garden looking neat and healthy throughout the year. So, we’ve reviewed local crews, checked their safety credentials, and spoken with property owners across the metro area.

Our top picks offer reliable equipment and experienced climbers for residential and commercial projects. Read on!

I recently had the team from Lumberjacks prune a number of trees

I recently had the team from Lumberjacks prune a number of trees.  The work was completed quickly and very efficiently, with my garden being left beautifully neat and free from any residue.  The charge was very reasonable.  On top of this, I can’t imagine a more delightful group of people employed by thr company.  I have to add that this was the third time I have used them and would not hesitate to do so again.

I get Lumberjacks to prune my trees every year and wouldn’t go anywhere else

I get Lumberjacks to prune my trees every year and wouldn’t go anywhere else. They are friendly, professional, quick and efficient. The best part is that they take away all the branches and leaf litter so my garden is tidy straight away.

Managing mature trees on rental properties or strata sites takes experienced climbers and the right skills. Lead climber Sam Southall has over 19 years of arborist experience in Perth and runs TreeLine.

The crew provides palm cleaning and hedge trimming using certified tree climbers. They regularly work with strata managers and real estate agents on property maintenance.

If you’re looking for dependable tree services, the team focuses on protecting tree health before recommending full removal.

But their strong focus on safety can mean slower service for customers who need a quick job. And since they don’t focus solely on residential properties, homeowners looking for a dedicated residential specialist may have fewer options.

Pros

  • Led by a 19-year expert climber
  • Supports strata and property managers
  • Provides certified tree climbing services
  • Offers complete palm and hedge care

Cons

  • Safety-first process can feel slow
  • Doesn’t specialise in residential yards

Thank you Sam and team

I needed a professional approach to pruning a very large, old Blackbutt, tucked into the back corner of our suburban block, a Jacaranda trimmed away from the house plus other minor tree lops.Sam and his team were amazing. Communicated and on time, well organised, attention to detail and safety of the tree, surrounds and each other. A really lovely crew, I even baked muffins as it was cold and wet. Thank you Sam and team.

Would ask Treeline back and would recommend them as being very efficient .and professional

A good morning’s work pruning and shaping trees by a crew of 5.  Cleaned the site, including a hilly walk down to one tree, leaving no trace of their work. Appreciated the opportunity to discuss tree shaping. Very pleased with the results. Even stacked some wood because it seemed the right thing to do. Would ask Treeline back and would recommend them as being very efficient .and professional.

Protecting Perth’s tree canopy takes a strong understanding of plant biology and urban ecology. Operating since 2016, Urban Forest Care focuses on long-term tree preservation, detailed risk reports, and community canopy care.

Their services range from root barrier installation to drone recovery for items stuck in branches.

One client we spoke with had them prepare a Root Protection Zone (RPZ) plan for a new driveway extension.

They said the consultant explained the entire process clearly and took the time to find a solution that protected the tree while meeting their building needs.

Unfortunately, if you need quick tree removal services, their detailed consultation process can feel slow. Additionally, their southern base can mean longer travel times for clients in the northern suburbs.

Pros

  • Focuses on long-term tree preservation
  • Installs root barrier systems and reports
  • Offers unique drone recovery services
  • Supports community tree planting programs

Cons

  • Detailed assessment style can feel slow

I would definitely recommend them

Great job by Urban Forest Care in pruning 2 large trees. Job started on time and finished in the time estimated with clean up of all debris. Thanks to Alex, Sam, Lachie and team. Will definitely use them again in the future. If anyone wants a hassle free, genuine service, free quote with a reasonable price tag, I would definitely recommend them.

They will honour the quote previously accepted even if several weeks later

Highly recommended. I’ve have this company out a few times now. They do a very good job of both removing trees or bushes as well as pruning back. If you are mindful of bird nesting times, they will first check the area & if there is a possibility nesting still in progress they are are happy to reschedule, return & re-check the area before commencing work. They will honour the quote previously accepted even if several weeks later.
