Saturn Pathology is a certified medical laboratory that I’m particularly fond of for its use of cutting-edge technology. Based in Stirling, they offer mobile blood test collection services to every suburb in the Perth Metropolitan Area.

Interestingly, every blood collection session they carry out is performed while using a high-tech vein finder to ensure they can draw blood efficiently and pain-free.

They even have virtual reality goggles that are designed to address the anxiety issues a patient may encounter during blood collection. This is especially helpful for kids who are too scared to see a needle.

Not to mention, they also have an online portal where you can view the results of your blood tests and print them out if needed!

Still, Saturn Pathology needs to improve on its communication, as some clients had to wait weeks before they got a response.

That includes general health checks like annual blood work and thyroid health tests, as well as sports performance checks that are designed for athletes and bodybuilders.

What’s also awesome is that you won’t need to go over tons of medical reports thanks to their mobile app that’s available on both the App Store and the Play Store. Here, every single test you’ve taken will be displayed with a couple of summaries added so you can interpret the data yourself without difficulties.

Sadly, a lot of their tests can’t be bulk-billed. The tests are quite pricey, so prepare your wallet!

As for test results, it’s nice to know that they have an online portal where you can access them easily. They even offer telehealth consultations should you need a medical professional to interpret your results for you.

Sadly, it has come to my attention that some clients had to wait for almost an hour before they were entertained by the staff.

Another great thing about them is that they allow clients to order their tests online without a doctor’s referral. Furthermore, they have speedy services and can send the test results to your email address within 1– business days.

Overall, they’re a decent choice. The only thing that bugs me is that they charge a hefty $70 fee for their mobile collection service.

Another great thing about Clinipath is that they offer specialised blood tests. An example is their genetic testing services, which check whether you’ve got a higher chance of suffering from a disease caused by genetic disorders. 

Luckily, you can get your test results easily, as they have a secure online portal where you can view and print every test you’ve taken. For medical professionals, they even offer a telehealth feature that lets doctors book tests for their patients with just a few clicks.

Sadly, they’ve faced criticism for their slow service, with clients having to wait more than 30 minutes for a simple blood collection.
