Your descendants will thank you if you hire these top wills lawyers in Perth

  • Experience - We picked lawyers who have more than 5 years of experience in creating wills.
  • Credentials - We also selected those who have studied or specialise in fields that are closely related to wills, like estate planning and finance.
  • Professionalism - We assessed their conduct, checking whether they arrive on time to their meetings and answer calls or emails promptly.
  • Price fairness - We considered whether their prices are fair based on their experience, the complexity of the will, and how much assistance they provide when writing it.

While my family doesn’t own a billion-dollar entertainment empire like Waystar-Royco from Succession, my father has remained diligent about documenting his plans for his possessions. The last thing he’d want us to do is fight over the assets he worked so hard for us to enjoy when he passes away.

Thankfully, he found a reliable wills lawyer who carefully guided him throughout the process of making and modifying his will. She also gave him some solid advice on how he should split his properties among me and my siblings.

It’s not too early to write yours too! Here are some of the best professionals who can help you ensure your fortune goes to your loved ones.

EJ Wall & Associates was founded by Edmund Wall in 1977. With over 40 years of experience, they specialise in wills, estates, and family law.

For me, being available anywhere in the city is one of their biggest strengths. That’s because they do home visits and are more than happy to create your will with you in the comfort of your home or at the office.

Another thing I can praise them for is their below-average fees for their services, as they only charge $350 for a standard will. For a couple’s will, they only ask for $550 thanks to their $100 discount.

Overall, I have no major issues with them. However, they are a small law firm. Don’t be surprised if their schedule is full on most days of the week.

Pros

  • 47 years of experience
  • Competitive prices
  • $100 discount for couple’s will
  • Can do home visits

Cons

  • Small law firm
  • Charges travel fees for addresses south of the Swan River

Have afforded my family the most professional and caring service

“Ed Wall and Associates have afforded my family the most professional and caring service. We would always refer this company to anyone needing legal advice and documentation. I thank you and your staff for your help and guidance.”

For those who want their wills done ASAP without compromising their legality, Perth Wills Centre might be worth a visit. Managed by a larger law firm called Curae Law, this firm specialises in wills and estate planning.

What caught my attention is their unique on-the-spot service that allows clients to create wills during a single consultation session, streamlining the process. All they ask is that you have every necessary document prepared beforehand to ensure the process is smooth sailing.

Once that’s done, they also have their own secure document storage facility where they can keep your will for free!

While I do appreciate their speedy services and additional perks offered, I’m not happy with the slightly above-average prices for their services.

Pros

  • 45 years of experience
  • Speedy on-the-spot wills service
  • Free secure storage for your will
  • Can do online meetings

Cons

  • Slightly above-average prices
  • Tends to get fully booked quickly

I would have no hesitation in recommending Perth Wills Centre

“My wife and I were very happy with the level of service Jessica provided. The whole process was done via video call and Jessica directed the call in a seamless manner which made it a lot easier than we expected. I would have no hesitation in recommending Perth Wills Centre.”

-James Fallon, Google Reviews

The whole process only took 1 consultation

“Quick, easy, and professional. Sriram Srikrishnan was very informative and easy to talk with. My Will was prepared for me in a very timely manner. I’d been putting off getting a Will for nearly a year, thinking the process would be too daunting. But Sriram was very helpful and approachable. Answering all my questions and ensuring I was fully informed. The whole process only took 1 consultation.”

Founded in 2015, Solomon Hollett Lawyers is composed of highly experienced lawyers who specialise in succession law (wills and estates) and commercial law.

As for their will services, they have all the basics covered and can assist you not only in preparing a will but also in drafting an Enduring Power of Attorney and testamentary trusts to protect your assets from unforeseen issues.

However, what really caught my attention is that their lawyers are skilled at contesting wills before the court. If you think you got cheated out of your inheritance, give them a call.

It’s no wonder they won the Law Australasia’s Pursuit of Excellence Award in 2019.

Sadly, their services don’t come cheap and are costlier than what most law firms demand.

Pros

  • 9 years of experience
  • Can draft EPAs and testamentary trusts
  • Can contest wills
  • Winner of Law Australasia’s Pursuit of Excellence Award in 2019

Cons

  • Above-average prices
  • Sometimes misses appointments

I would recommend them very highly

“We had an excellent experience with Annabel at Solomon Hollett Lawyers recently. Annabel helped us out through an estate matter that we wouldn’t have been able to deal with ourselves. She was very professional, helpful and prompt in all of our interactions. I would recommend them very highly.”

-Gary James, Google Reviews

Advice was succinct and professional

“I spoke with Brandon Hetherington regarding a family estate matter, and his advice was succinct and professional. The guidance I was given helped me to resolve my matter in a timely manner with minimal stress and cost.”

Crystal Lawyers, founded in 2017, is a law firm that specialises in estate planning and administration. Led by experienced lawyer Val Antoff, they offer essential wills, complex wills with testamentary trusts, and other valuable services.

Some of those valuable services include an Enduring Power of Attorney and an Enduring Power of Guardianship. Even better, they can also prepare your advance health directive and set up a discretionary trust to hold your assets and keep them safe for your beneficiaries.

To learn more about their services and receive a comprehensive analysis of your assets, sign up for their free will assessment.

However, I should note that Val runs most of this firm’s operations on his own. It’s likely you won’t get an appointment ASAP, as he can only entertain clients one at a time.

Pros

  • 7 years of experience
  • Can prepare advance health directives
  • Can set up discretionary trusts
  • Offers free in-depth will assessments

Cons

  • Small law firm
  • Inconsistent operating hours

Best lawyer ever

“Best lawyer ever. He spent several hours reviewing my documents (having also spent time preparing beforehand) and was very thorough. Also he was very reasonable in his price, and was friendly and kind. I would highly recommend him without hesitation. If you need a lawyer in Perth to deal with trusts and estates, definitely get in touch with him.”

CB Wills, led by experienced lawyer Chris Brown, offers personalised and convenient wills services. Ever since their founding in 2017, they’ve provided mobile services to any address in Perth.

I find the idea of Chris coming to you to assist you with your will is awesome already. However, it’s made even better by the fact that his prices for basic wills are highly competitive.

Furthermore, he also offers special will packages that can ensure your will is enacted only when it should be and according to your wishes. Priced at only $560, this package includes the will itself, an Enduring Power of Guardianship, and an Enduring Power of Attorney.

However, it’s a bit disappointing that Chris doesn’t have a physical address that clients can visit. This can be an issue in cases of emergencies, as the client might have to wait for him to arrive at their address.

Pros

  • Practising lawyer since 1998
  • Fully mobile services
  • Offers will packages
  • Competitive prices
  • Open on Saturdays

Cons

  • Small law firm
  • No physical address

We have no hesitation at all in recommending Chris

“Chris was most professional, patient and prompt. He helped us navigate the paperwork and we appreciated his advice relevant to our circumstances. We have no hesitation at all in recommending Chris.”

-David B, Google Reviews
