Of course, a list of convenience stores wouldn’t be complete if it didn’t mention 7-Eleven, a convenience store chain known worldwide. Known for its 24/7 operation, this store chain currently operates nine locations in Perth.
In each location, you’ll be treated to a wide array of products, like groceries, fresh food, pastries, and drinks. Most of their branches in the city also feature a gas station, making them great stopovers for late-night drives.
What’s amazing is that gas actually plays a huge part in their business. They offer the 7-Eleven Fuel Pass, a fuel card that lets you save a couple of cents every time you gas up in one of their branches.
However, it’s a bit puzzling to me as to why some of their branches lack restrooms since a lot of drivers tend to visit the toilet while topping up fuel.
Pros
- Open 24/7
- 9 locations in Perth
- Wide range of products
- Has a fuel card
Cons
- Some branches lack restrooms
- Stores tend to get busy quickly
Always well stocked and clean

Suddenly itching for some quality grub in the middle of the night? Then stop by one of the four OTR convenience stores in Perth, which are open to customers 24/7!
If there’s one thing I truly like about this store, it doesn’t limit itself to selling groceries, drinks, and light snacks. In fact, most of their locations feature restaurants like Subway and Oporto.
Since their stores also feature gas stations, you can definitely refill your car here while eating.
It’s also a good thing that they have an app on both the Play Store and the App Store that lets you buy everything online and collect it in any of their stores.
Sadly, not everything is great with them, as some former customers encountered rude behaviour from OTR’s staff. I also noticed that some of their stores have slow customer service.
Pros
- Open 24/7
- 4 locations in Perth
- Has adjoined restaurants like Subway
- Has click-and-collect service
Cons
- Rude staff
- Slow customer service
The store is great
“How great to have this excellent new OTR in Roleystone. The team is sensational and the store is great. Loved my Moe’s hot dog! Either could even pay at the pump for fuel and pre order coffee!”

Reddy Express, formerly known as Coles Express, is a prominent chain of convenience stores in Australia, with a rich history dating back to its origins under Coles Myer in 2003.
Currently, they have over 70 locations available in Perth, making them one of the most accessible options available. While these branches primarily function as petrol stations, they still sell a wide variety of groceries, pastries, sandwiches, and coffee.
What’s even more exciting is that they also offer plenty of additional services in many of their branches, like automated car washes, ATM machines, and gas bottle refill services. They even sell firewood, if you can believe that.
However, it should be noted that not all of their branches are open 24/7. To avoid confusion, I strongly recommend you check their store locator first to learn whether the nearest Reddy Express store to you is open.
Pros
- Over 70 locations in Perth
- Wide variety of products
- Sells firewood
- Offers additional services like automated car wash
Cons
- Some stores aren’t open 24/7
- Slightly above-average fuel prices

NightOwl Convenience, established in 1975, has grown from a single store in Brisbane to over 84 locations across Australia, including four stores in Perth.
Known for its extended hours, this store chain caters to both early birds and night owls, offering a wide range of products such as groceries, snacks, hot food, tobacco products, ice cream, and beauty items.
As someone who often finds himself strolling out late at night, I appreciate their customer loyalty program called Owl Club, as it lets me enjoy unique deals whenever I happen to visit one of their stores.
They even have a social media collaboration program that grants you free stuff like coffee and warm food simply by sharing your NightOwl experience on your social media page.
Overall, they’re a decent choice. I just wish they had at least one branch in Perth that’s open 24/7.
Pros
- 4 locations in Perth
- Wide variety of products
- Has a customer loyalty program
- Has a social media collab program
Cons
- No 24/7 store in Perth
- Inconsistent operating hours

If you prefer supporting a local convenience store chain, come try Vibe Petroleum. A proudly WA-operated company, this store chain has grown significantly since its inception in 2014 and now has 28 locations spread throughout Perth.
They offer a wide variety of products, including pastries, drinks, newspapers, salads, and personal care items.
Not to mention, they also sell $1 coffees, perfect for a cheap caffeine boost before work! Through their partnership with UberEATS, you can have these products delivered straight to your home.
And while this is something I can’t fully appreciate as a typical customer, it’s nice to know that they sell bulk fuel to farmers and businesses.
Sadly, some customers experienced a bad time here due to the rude behaviour they encountered from Vibe’s staff.
Pros
- 28 locations in Perth
- Open 24/7
- Sells bulk fuel
- Sells cheap coffee
- Offers home delivery
Cons
- Rude staff
- Some stores have narrow entry points for cars
The prices are always lower than other petrol stations in city
“I really like this tiny VIBE petrol station, because they are clean, friendly, helpful and are there for the customer. Great to have this petrol station here, the prices are always lower than other petrol stations in the city. Also they are serving delicious Mrs. Macs pies with good coffee in the morning. They always have very clean toilets, forecourt especially clean pumps! I give 5️⃣ stars simply for not having oily diesel hands :)”
