Westrans Services is an excellent choice for owners of heavy vehicles such as trucks and buses. This shop specialises in servicing and repairing these kinds of vehicles.

However, this doesn’t mean that they won’t inspect lighter vehicles.

I recently took my Toyota Hilux here for my annual car inspection, and I am quite happy with their fast and efficient inspection services.

The inspector, Alex Frame, was a friendly and awesome guy to talk to. He explained to me in detail the current condition of my car and the steps I need to take to keep it in great condition.

Moreover, Westrans Services has been in business since 1992, which means that they already have more than 25 years of experience in the industry.

I checked whether they have any special services on offer, and I was surprised that they do have some. One particular service I want to shine a spotlight on is their 24/7 roadside assistance service.

This service has five mobile units in Perth, ready to respond to any car breakdowns anywhere in the city.

Their great service, however, has a few caveats.

One is that they don’t offer pre-purchase car inspections. You’ll have to hire someone else if you want a second-hand vehicle inspected before you buy it.

The second is their inability to properly communicate with their clients. One client was disappointed when they wasted his time because they failed to inform him that they don’t do pre-purchase car inspections.

Malaga Pit Inspections is an excellent choice for those looking for a quick yet thorough car inspection. They can inspect other vehicles like motorcycles, tricycles, and mopeds.

I think it’s impressive that they can conduct car inspections in under an hour. Most of our interviewees praised them for their speed, as it allows clients to immediately visit a mechanic to have any problems fixed within the same day.

Many people also loved Malaga Pit Inspections’ ability to respond quickly to calls and emails. Some told me that it’s so easy to set an appointment with these guys due to their quick response rate.

Another reason why I think these inspectors are worth your time is their reasonable prices. Many of their clients I interviewed do their annual car inspections here for that reason.

However, while Malaga Pit Inspections is quick in setting appointments, they seem to have a problem in keeping them. 

Some clients had to wait a couple more hours because an inspector wasn’t available when they arrived during their scheduled time. Their appointment times weren’t tracked properly hence no inspector was ready to entertain them.

A sizable part of their clients also dislike the way they conduct inspections. Some of them told me that the inspectors here are very strict and marked their cars unroadworthy for small issues.

AME Automotive is a great choice thanks to its fast and easy online booking system. You can fill out their online booking form in under five minutes, which also gives you an initial quote for free.

However, I think their biggest strength is their wide range of services. Their vehicle inspection services are applicable to most types of vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, trucks, and more.

Aside from vehicle inspection, you can also rely on them to help you when it comes to servicing and repairing your car. If they find any issues within your car, one of their mechanics can fix it for you.

AME Automotive is also capable of improving your car’s performance with services like fuel injection and GVM upgrade service.

You can consider them a “one-stop shop” for vehicle maintenance.

So what about AME Automotive’s customer service? Luckily, my friend has first-hand experience with this auto shop.

He told me that these guys are good and honest people. The mechanic who did a pre-purchase inspection for him was very thorough and told him upfront that the car wouldn’t be a good purchase.

The mechanic even gave him some advice on what kind of car he should get with the budget he currently had at that time.

Overall, he was very pleased with his experience with AME Automotive except for one thing.

His only problem with this auto shop is the price. Their car inspection service was slightly more expensive compared to the other auto shops he visited in Perth.

Some customers also experienced poor service from AME Automotive’s inspectors. One told me that their mechanic missed some serious problems during the car inspection service.

Stop and Go Tyres and Mechanical is a new auto shop that works with Repco, one of Australia’s leading automotive engineering companies. All of their mechanics are trained and certified by Repco to ensure quality service.

The main reason why I consider them one of the best is their specialty. Stop and Go Tyres and Mechanical can inspect and service European luxury brand vehicles.

I think this auto shop is an excellent choice for the few residents in Perth who own a luxury car made by the likes of Audi and Bentley.

Their car inspection service is very comprehensive and detailed. They inspect every nook and cranny of your vehicle to look for signs of rusting or damage on parts like the body, suspension, and more.

What’s really awesome though is the fact that many of their services are priced competitively. This auto shop is great for doing annual car inspections thanks to its low prices and cool perks like free brake check services.

I might give them a try for my next annual car inspection.

However, some clients had complaints regarding Stop and Go Tyres and Mechanical’s customer service. They told me that they got rude remarks from the manager after they tried to raise some concerns.

This auto shop was also criticised for missing appointments. Make sure to send them a follow-up message before visiting their shop to avoid experiencing this problem.

Autoplus WA is a car inspection service provider that uses specialised equipment to carry out its services. They can give you accurate reports within a few seconds.

This auto shop has been in the industry for quite some time. Autoplus WA was established in 2000 and has more than 20 years of experience inspecting and repairing different vehicles.

A good thing about them is their ability to inspect and service a wide range of brands. You can rely on them to provide you with quality service no matter if your car came from Japan, Europe, or the USA.

Speaking of quality service, one of Autoplus WA’s biggest highlights is their use of the Safe-T-Stop. This system can inspect your car’s brakes, wheel alignment, and suspension accurately within a matter of seconds.

It’s also awesome that they provide digital inspection records with photos included showing which parts of your car are damaged.

Going digital is a great move, as more people nowadays prefer to save records digitally rather than keeping stacks of paper.

However, one thing I dislike about Autoplus WA is its limited business hours. They are only open from Tuesday to Friday, which means it’ll be hard to schedule an appointment with them during busier seasons.

Some clients were also disappointed with this auto shop’s poor response rate. One potential customer told me that they tried calling Autoplus WA many times but gave up after getting no response.
