Presotea first started a local bubble tea store in Taiwan back in 2006. But with the owners’ continued dedication to brewing high-quality bubble teas for their customers, they were able to set up stores abroad, including 18 across Perth.

Bobaboba is a family-owned business headed by Angela Tran, a huge bubble tea fan. Due to their high-quality bubble teas, their first store in Morley in 2020 was immediately followed by more branches throughout Perth, including Madeley and Northbridge.

The shop’s bobaristas, as they fondly call them, take great pride in the boba teas they make and their wide range of flavours, including classic brown sugar. They also craft bubble teas with unique flavours, like yuzu honey, pandan, and coconut.

Bobaboba’s standout features, though, are their hand-made bobas that are undeniably softer and chewier than those of other bubble tea shops in Perth. They’re carefully made every morning to ensure each bubble tea is served with fresh, chewy boba.

Each bubble tea from Bobaboba costs around $5.50 to $7.90, depending on the flavour and size. With a few more customizations, such as extra toppings or milk changes, the price can increase by a few dollars.

Established in 2001, Utopia was one of the first shops to introduce bubble tea in Perth. Although it’s now a trusted brand by many, the shop struggled initially, as bubble tea wasn’t popular in Perth then.

The staff’s long experience has allowed them to perfect their craft and develop an extensive drink menu that accommodates various tastes. Most of their bubble teas are green and black tea-based and are freshly brewed upon order.

Aside from its vast bubble tea menu, Utopia also boasts a wide variety of vegan and gluten-free toppings you won’t find elsewhere. From their chewy sago and jelly to the tasty egg and chocolate pudding, their toppings elevate every bubble tea they serve.

Utopia also launched an app that makes placing an order more convenient. It allows customers to skip the long queue and just pick up their drink when it’s ready.
