If you want to spark your creativity, why not try some sewing classes? We recommend this unique and fun activity for both experienced and non-experienced tailors.
Kraft Daze Sewing World has been in the sewing and patchwork business for more than 17 years. They offer different sewing machines, classes, and products to people who like to sew.
Their patchwork and sewing classes start at $40. There are tons of classes available almost every day, too – most of these are held in their Booragoon or Armadale branches.
We think you’ll be able to explore different ways to sew. They have various creative themes like machine embroidery on rope bowls, coverstitching, dressmaking, and more!
Conveniently, they also accept AfterPay for 4 interest-free payments. This way, you can concentrate more on the sewing while the fees become less burdensome on your wallet.
Friendly tip: If you want to continue sewing at home, check out their online fabric sale now and then because you could get up to 30% off!
Have a Drink at Jadran Wines

If you’ve always had beer, why not try tasting wines for a change? If so, Jadran Wines is a local winery with a boutique feel that we think is worth a visit.
This location is near the Tonkin Highway exit and has friendly staff and plenty of parking for your convenience.
Here, the owners will invite you to stop by their friendly local winery, where you can try a wide range of wines and fortified wines.
You may explore their wineries, which are from all over Western Australia. This includes the Swan Valley, Pemberton, Perth Hills, Margaret River, Denmark, and Quindanning.
By going to their website, you can also choose from more tasty drinks in their online store. If you can’t make it to their physical location, take advantage of their delivery service to enjoy the drinks whenever you want.
For us, this site is also a wonderful stop on your way from Araluen Botanic Park – just in case you want to have a day trip and picnic there first.
Visit the City of Gosnells Museum
Address: 34 Homestead Rd, Gosnells WA 6110, Australia
Contact Details: +61 8 9397 3144,
Opening Hours: Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Sunday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Fees: $1.10 (Adult), $0.55 (Concession), $2.20 (Family), $3.50 (School Group)
Of course, your trip wouldn’t be complete without a relaxing museum tour.
The City of Gosnells Museum collection is located in the State Heritage listed Wilkinson Homestead. This museum is also situated on the picturesque banks of the Canning River.
We believe this location, which incorporates early European colonisation and the district’s agricultural development, has a fascinating history to explore.
If you like seeing tons of fruits, see this fun fact: This 1912-built homestead is located on one of Western Australia’s major citrus-producing plantations.
We think the citrus fruits here are vibrant enough to be cool, natural backgrounds for your Instagram photos!
You can also find out more about the replica buildings, like the mechanical shed, dunny, and washhouse. If your psychologist ever advised you to take a break and reflect in a peaceful setting, this outdoor area could be it.
The museum is a good place for research and group trips, too. However, you might need to make an appointment first.
Also, do you know anyone getting married? Interestingly, this site may be used outside of regular business hours for weddings or other large gatherings upon request.
Conveniently, the museum also offers access for those with special needs. Moreover, tables and chairs can be provided.
We recommend checking out their free events because they sometimes offer treats like afternoon or high tea snacks along with them.
Unfortunately, dogs aren’t allowed here. If you’re bringing your pet, we recommend going to the nearby dog-friendly park known as the John Okey Davis.
Go on a Trail at Ellis Brook Valley Reserve

Address: Martin WA 6110, Australia
Contact Details: 08 9397 3000, [email protected]
Opening Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
If you love going on a trail or getting some casual exercise in nature, this next location is worth checking out.
The Perth Metropolitan Area’s most abundant wildflower site is known as Ellis Brook Valley, which is situated on Rushton Road in the neighbourhood of Martin.
It’s a beautiful hidden valley with over 500 different kinds of wildflowers. It’s only a few minutes from Gosnells Town Centre and 35 minutes from Perth.
There are 4 walking paths with varied degrees of difficulty, so there’s something for everyone. This goes from the ‘Easy Walk Trail’ to the more challenging ‘Sixty Foot Falls Trail’
These trails offer panoramic views of Perth from the top of the cascade and through the Old Barrington Quarry.
We think those who love animals and zoos would adore this area, too. There are over 116 kinds of birds here: cockatoos, parrots, pardalotes, beautiful fairy wrens, and wedge-tailed eagles, among many more species.
Those looking for furry animals may also see kangaroos, echidnas, possums, bats, and the like.
We appreciate their numerous amenities for family and friends as well. Near the Honeyeater Hollow Picnic Spot is an area with two BBQ facilities, picnic shelters, chairs, tables, and composting restrooms.
For your reference, parking is provided at the picnic area and in the valley’s centre, close to where the 60-foot falls trail begins. But during busy times, parking cannot be guaranteed, so we advise you to arrive early.
Note that there is no drinking water on site, either, so we suggest bringing your own water bottle. Moreover, there are no trash cans, so please take your garbage home.
Travel tip: The best time to visit the valley is in the spring, between mid-September and early November. This is when the fauna and flowers are at their best, and there’s a lot of rain.

After a long day of travel, why not end it with shopping? We recommend going to Forest Lakes Shopping Centre in Thornlie to find some goodies for you and your loved ones.

For your reference, the Forest Lakes Shopping Center is conveniently accessible from both the east and the west through Warton and Yale Rd. This is at the intersection of Forest Lakes Drive and Murdoch Drive in Thornlie.
