There’s so much delicious food to try in Perth, I’m starting to sweat nervously whenever I see my bathroom scale! In particular, I fell in love with the city’s impressive outdoor restaurants.
These places let me taste the most exquisite dishes while also letting me enjoy the picturesque scene of the city’s skyline and bustling streets.

Rambla On Swan, located in South Perth, is my go-to restaurant whenever I’m in the mood to see the majestic Swan River. Its riverside location offers a captivating dining experience with panoramic views of both the river and the Perth city skyline.
Aside from the views, I also love the menu here, which features various dishes including seafood, steaks, grilled chicken breasts, and salads. All the ingredients they use are sourced locally, so I always have fresh meals whenever I dine here.
If you’re unsure which to get, I strongly suggest you start with their Kalbarri gold band snapper. Its succulent fish meat is perfectly complemented by its shichimi spice and green tea noodles to create a blend of earthy and slightly spicy flavours.
Pro tip: If you’re a big fan of cocktails, check out Rambla On Swan’s special events. Their events like Spritz Sunday Session and Martini’s on the Deck let you taste their unique cocktails for only $15!

Another amazing riverside restaurant I can recommend to you is Mister Walker Restaurant. Also located in South Perth, this restaurant is situated on Mends Street Jetty, right along the Swan River foreshore.
Being so close to the river is what makes my dining experiences here so special. The total lack of obstructions means I can always enjoy a full view of the river, the towering skyscrapers of Perth, and the nearby Kings Park and Botanic Garden.
Another thing I love about Mister Walker Restaurant is its all-day menu that’s filled with delicious seafood dishes like grilled octopuses, grilled Shark Bay scallops, and prawn pasta. They even have vegetarian and gluten-free options available.

Interested in trying out the outdoor restaurants on the other bank of the Swan River? Then come visit Claisebrook Cove, where you’ll find The Partisan, a restaurant that offers guests a delightful dining experience while gazing at the famous canal.
I typically visit this place whenever I’m done doing my weekly morning jogs. That’s because they have an extensive brunch menu that has a couple of mouth-watering dishes like chilli crab scrambled eggs and prawn and crab linguini.
If you’re arriving here in the late afternoon or evening, then you can instead order their dinner meals like steaks, salads, pasta, and barbecued pork ribs. They even have a kids’ menu if you’re planning on bringing the little ones with you too.

Whenever I’m craving some delicious tacos, I find myself going straight to South Fremantle’s La Cabana. With its casual and relaxed vibe, this charming restaurant allows me to savour authentic dishes in a leafy outdoor dining area.
Here, you can enjoy dishes like freshly shucked oysters, tacos, pescados (fish), and chicharron de puerco (pork crackling). They also sell lighter meals like sandwiches and salads, which are great for starting your day.
Of course, a proper Mexican meal isn’t complete without a delicious glass of wine alongside it! Thankfully, La Cabana’s got us covered. Aside from white and red wines, they also have cocktails like jaffa martinis and spicy margaritas.

Lady of Ro, located in Subiaco, is a Mediterranean restaurant with a rich history. Named after the defiant “Lady of Ro,” who raised the Greek flag during World War II, this restaurant offers a delightful outdoor dining experience.
As a big fan of Mediterranean dishes, it’s no secret that I love eating here from time to time. Here you can try delicious meals like tzatziki, Hebrew eggplant, ravioli, Angus steak, and Israeli chicken thigh.
These dishes are designed to be shared between 2 or more people, so you’re guaranteed to enjoy a huge serving here. And the best part? Most of their dishes cost less than $40, so you’ll definitely save a lot of money dining here!
Pro tip: If you’re not sure which dish to try, you can let the chef decide. The Chef Tasting Menu costs $79 per person and lets you try various dishes that are chosen by their head chef, Sean McArdle.

Perched atop Hibernian Place in the Perth CBD, Hadiqa beckons with its Middle Eastern charm and captivating views. The name, derived from the Arabic word for “garden,” hints at the lush greenery that envelops this Mediterranean-inspired haven.
Based on that description alone, you can already tell that I had a fun time dining here. In particular, I find its open rooftop dining space to be highly spectacular, thanks to the simplistic yet iconic decor that litters the place.
As for its menu, it offers a delightful variety of dishes like Moroccan-style chicken, lamb banjo, spiced lamb shoulder, and beef rump cap. As a bar, they also have a lot of signature cocktails available, like Pandan Splice, Agave Oasis, and Basil Smash.

Furaibo is an authentic izakaya bar and restaurant that seamlessly blends tradition with modernity. Located in the Perth CBD, this place is one of my go-to destinations whenever I need to take a quick break after a long day at work.
This two-story establishment has plenty of seats available both indoors and outdoors. However, its highlight is its curated menu of over 100 Japanese izakaya dishes that are perfect for sharing.
There are so many delicious dishes you should try out with your work colleagues here, but my personal favourites are their pickled octopus tsukemono and sashimi platters. Of course, being an izakaya means they also serve beers and wines here.
Pro tip: Feeling famished? Don’t worry because Furaibo has you covered with their bottomless lunch offer!
For $65 per person, you can enjoy endless sushi, teriyaki, pork katsu, and more every Saturday and Sunday between 1 PM and 3 PM.
This offer also includes bottomless drinks, so it’s worth it! However, make sure you bring your significant other or friend with you because this deal requires a minimum of at least 2 people.

If you still can’t get enough of the Swan River, then you’ll definitely love Cooee Perth! Housed within the historic Old Swan Brewery, this riverside restaurant offers a relaxed and stylish ambience that I can’t seem to find anywhere else.
What makes my dining experiences here so special is the restaurant’s terrace, which provides a clear view of the river and Perth’s southern suburbs. Furthermore, being surrounded by Kings Park’s greenery ensures this place remains cool at all times.
As for the menu, it boasts a diverse range of contemporary dishes like cured salmon, grilled Shark Bay prawn, and crab linguine. They also serve many desserts that are perfect for a hot day, like sorbet, affogato, and chocolate mousse.
