Pros

  • Most services are bulk-billed
  • Highly-experienced multilingual doctors
  • Fast and easy online reservation system

Cons

  • Too many patients
  • Closed on weekends

Bulwer Medical Centre is one of my favourite medical centres for its affordable and reliable medical services.

The best thing about this medical centre is that it bulk bills most of its services. Patients with Medicare don’t need to worry about paying too much out of their pockets whenever they avail of Bulwer Medical Centre’s services.

Another great thing about them is their doctors. These doctors have been in the medical field for years already, and they carry many certifications too.

I am also quite amazed that Bulwer Medical Centre’s doctors are multilingual and can speak at least one other language aside from English.

My friend’s wife is a recent immigrant from China. She prefers Bulwer Medical Centre for her monthly check-ups because one of the doctors can speak Mandarin fluently.

I also heard that the doctors in this medical centre can also speak other languages, including Hindi, Cantonese, and Vietnamese.

My friend also told me that scheduling an appointment with Bulwer Medical Centre is so easy. He and his wife do everything online, and the entire process can be done within a few minutes.

However, a downside to Bulwer Medical Centre is that it has too many customers. My friend told me that they sometimes have to wait a few more minutes because the doctors can’t keep up with the number of patients they have to help.

This problem is further intensified by the fact that Bulwer Medical Centre is closed on weekends and public holidays.

Pros

  • Offers a wide range of medical services
  • Open every day of the week
  • Friendly and attentive staff

Cons

  • Focuses heavily on chiropractic services
  • No Medicare bulk-billing

Perth Healthcare Centre has long been a favourite among my friends due to its awesome chiropractors. This medical centre has not just talented chiropractors but also medical practitioners in other fields too.

What makes Perth Healthcare Centre a great choice is its wide range of medical services. Aside from chiropractic, they can also help patients who are in need of services relating to psychology, nutrition, and more.

Personally, what I really love about this medical centre is its awesome staff. I’ve joined my friends here a few times for some chiropractic sessions, and my experiences with them were awesome.

The doctors and staff were always friendly to us on every visit. I pointed out some specific regions on my back that hurt the most, and the chiropractor made sure to put extra attention on those regions.

I haven’t tried out their other medical services yet, but a lot of their former patients told me that their experiences were great as well.

However, a downside to this medical centre is that most of its medical staff is focused on chiropractic services. Their other medical services have fewer doctors available, which may not be enough to meet the demand during their busier days.

Perth Healthcare Centre is also not offering bulk billing for Medicare. You’ll need to pay out of your own pocket or rely on private healthcare insurance providers instead.

Pros

  • Affordable prices
  • Open every day of the week
  • Highly-experienced and attentive staff

Cons

  • Some medical supplies aren’t stocked regularly
  • Misses appointments sometimes

Mill Point Medical is a medical centre I can always rely on for my medical needs. It’s open every day of the week and has a wide range of medical services you can get for good prices.

I regularly visit this medical centre for my check-ups. My doctor, Dr Joseph Diaz, is a friendly and attentive guy who always listens to all my concerns regarding my health.

He also seems to be someone who’s really dedicated to his profession. He’s well-versed when it comes to the latest stuff in healthcare, and he always gives me some useful tips on how to stay healthy and fit.

As I said before, this medical centre offers affordable rates for its services. A lot of their services are cheaper compared to other medical centres, and you can even get lower prices with the help of Medicare rebates.

However, a downside to Mill Point Medical is that it fails to restock all its medical supplies regularly.

I tried getting one of my vaccine shots here during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, but they didn’t have any stocks available for my prefered vaccine.

Another downside to this medical centre is that it misses appointments sometimes. Other patients I talked to told me that they had to wait more than 30 minutes after their scheduled time of appointment.

Pros

  • Advanced medical facilities
  • One of the largest medical centres in the city
  • Wide range of medical services offered

Cons

  • Too many patients
  • Some of the staff are still inexperienced

QEII Medical Centre is one of the largest medical centres in Perth. It offers a comprehensive list of medical services that only a few hospitals in the city can match.

This medical centre is the pride of our city. Western Australia wants to turn QEII Medical Centre into one of the most advanced medical facilities in the country.

As a government-owned medical facility, it can also offer a significant chunk of its services at prices affordable to most people. Most of your expenses will be covered by Medicare, so you don’t have to pay too much out of your own pocket.

Overall, QEII Medical Centre is a great provider of medical services. It has great facilities, and the staff always welcomed me warmly whenever I had to visit an acquaintance admitted to this hospital.

However, a downside to QEII Medical Centre is the high number of patients it sees regularly. As a government institution, a lot of people rely on this hospital for their medical needs to save as much money as they can.

Some former patients also told me that some of the medical staff here are still inexperienced. Their inexperience in handling the large number of patients has led to some delays in administering care to some patients.

5. Central City Medical Centre

  • Chronic disease management
  • Mental health care
  • Travel medicine
  • Antenatal care

Pros

  • Fast and readily-available services
  • Highly-experienced multilingual doctors
  • Wide range of medical services offered

Cons

  • Above-average prices
  • No Medicare bulk-billing

Central City Medical Centre is a great pick for me due to its accessibility and medical staff expertise. It’s got experienced doctors capable of helping you with its wide array of medical services.

What really got my attention was their doctors’ ability to speak other languages aside from English. Most of Central City Medical Centre’s doctors can speak Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, and Yoruba.

I am also amazed by this medical centre’s efficiency. A lot of its services are done in a fast and orderly manner, which is why wait times are shorter here compared to most medical centres.

I’m a bit ashamed to share this story, but I got myself into some stupid bike accident a few years back. I had to visit Central City Medical Centre to get my left arm checked out for any problems.

My experience was great. The staff immediately attended to my injuries, and they quickly sent me to the X-ray room to check for any bone fractures.

The entire process only took me a few hours to complete. By late afternoon, I was already back in my home after the doctor determined that my injuries were minor.

Overall, this medical centre is a great choice, aside from a few caveats I’d like to mention.

A downside to Central City Medical Centre is its above-average fees. Most of their services are charged at higher rates compared to most medical centres in Perth.

I am also quite disappointed that they don’t accept Medicare bulk billing. This means that you’ll most likely have to pay a significant part of your bill out of your own pocket unless you have a private health insurance provider.
