Enjoy the finest vino from the best wine bottle shops in Perth
Beyond Perth’s sunny weather and long coastline, the city is also famous for its amazing wine-producing regions like Perth Hills and Swan Valley.
Yes, my fellow tipple enthusiasts, Perth isn’t just about beaches and sunny days. It’s also a wine-loving city where people sip the stories of yesteryear.
As a self-proclaimed wine sommelier, I embarked on a quest to discover the most exquisite wines in the city. Here are some wine bottle shops in Perth that helped me accomplish my grand quest!
Free Spirit Drink Co.

10:30 AM – 6:30 PM (SAT)
11:00 AM – 4:00 PM (SUN)
Are you a big fan of wines, but not so much of their alcohol content? Then you’ll love Free Spirit Drink Co, a wine bottle store in Applecross started by Adrian Allier in March 2021 to provide more non-alcoholic wine options in Western Australia.
At first, I dismissed the idea of drinking non-alcoholic liquor as ridiculous, but clearly, I was wrong. Here, I discovered over 300 meticulously curated beverages, including non-alcoholic beers, ciders, spirits, and wines.
Almost everything I’ve tried here was simply delightful, and I found myself going back to buy some more. If you’re interested, make sure to check out their special wines that are infused with Nootropics and Ashwagandha.
Pro tip: Still unsure which non-alcoholic wine to try out?
Free Spirit Drink Co. has created discounted mix packs that feature some of their most popular selections, like Altina La Vie En Rose and Leitz Zero Point Five Cabernet Sauvignon.

12:00 PM – 10:00 PM (SUN)
Another wonderful place I’ve discovered is Besk, a quaint wine bottle shop located in West Leederville. Its name, derived from the old Danish word for flavour, hints at the sensory and strong delights one would find within its walls.
Their shop is host to different kinds of beers, spirits, and wines that are sourced from renowned makers worldwide, including popular wines like Moreau-Naudet Chablis and Basket Range Wines Estate Pinot Noir.
Their rich variety of products has led to them winning awards like the prestigious 3 Glasses award from Australia’s Wine List of the Year. The wine collection is updated every month, so be sure to come back once in a while to buy their latest wine bottles!
Pro tip: If you’re feeling peckish, Besk has a bar and restaurant where you can enjoy various dishes like steak tartare, cheeseburgers, fried chicken, and beetroot salad that are served with your wine of choice.

Wise Child Wine Store, nestled in the heart of Fremantle, beckons wine enthusiasts with its curated liquor selection. Originally established on Thompson Road in North Fremantle, Wise Child quickly became a local favourite.
The strong demand for their products compelled them to expand to a second store on Market Street in Fremantle. Today, they sell a wide range of products that include luxurious wines, craft beers, and boutique spirits.
When it comes to wines, they offer various locally produced and naturally fermented ones that were mostly made by the wineries of Margaret River. Some of my personal favourites are their 2020 House Chardonnay and 2020 Roccabella Nebbiolo.

Liberty Liquors, located in Claremont, is a wine bottle shop founded in the 1980s. They’re one of my personal favourites due to their strict adherence to remaining independent and free of influence from top supermarket and liquor store chains.
A key positive that comes from them remaining independent is that they’re free to showcase a vast range of products, even those that are still new and unproven. Currently, their collection includes a variety of beers, wines, and spirits.
When it comes to wines, you won’t run out of options, as they sell various reds, whites, champagnes, and fortified wines. A couple of wines I highly recommend you try are their Bowen Estate Cabernet Sauvignon and Rosenthal Marker Chardonnay.

A haven for natural wine enthusiasts in Perth, Wines of While stands as the city’s pioneering wine bar and shop. Established in 2018, it has become a key destination for those seeking wines that are crafted by hand and free from chemicals.
And it’s not hard to see why that’s the case. During my visit, I was able to see a wide variety of natural wines that are sourced primarily from organic and biodynamic vineyards in Australia, Spain, Italy, and France.
A wine bottle I particularly like is their 2022 Farm Rosato. It perfectly blends Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot balanced by Pinot Noir juice to create a sensation of fruity and delicate taste.
Pro tip: Wines of While also has a restaurant where you can enjoy various Mediterranean dishes that are made from Western Australian ingredients like seafood and vegetables.
They regularly introduce new dishes to their menu, so make sure to come back once in a while!
