The Best Temp Agencies in Perth That Top Companies Partner With

  • Variety of industries served - We chose temp agencies that can offer skilled workers to different industries, like finance, IT, hospitality, and more.
  • Track record - We picked those who have a solid track record of helping both businesses and job seekers find the perfect candidates and opportunities. We looked at how they source candidates, their hiring process, and what clients say about them.
  • Employee treatment - We prefer agencies that treat their temp workers well and provide good compensation and benefits to their employees.
  • Communication - We checked whether they have customer support teams that can assist clients whenever they need it. We also assessed whether they respond quickly to calls and emails.
  • Price fairness - We also considered whether their fees are fair based on the skill set of their temporary workers and how fast they can provide their clients with temp workers.

I once worked part-time in a diner, and I observed that one of the biggest challenges our boss faced was staffing issues during peak seasons, like the school holidays and the tourist seasons.

Thankfully, we never really had a serious problem, as workers hired via temp agencies kept our manpower needs met. Looking back, I’m grateful to my boss for having the foresight to hire more people in anticipation of more customers.

That’s why if you’re a business looking for some extra help or if you’re a job seeker looking for short-term employment, check out these reliable temp agencies in Perth!

11 Recruitment is a prominent white-collar temp recruitment agency that specialises in industries like finance, customer service, data entry, and sales. With a database of over 100,000 candidates, they are one of the largest agencies I’ve included in this list.

Based on my findings, there are a couple of noteworthy advantages they have over competitors. One example is their heavy investment in video advertising and raising traffic scores to ensure job seekers see and apply via their platform first over others.

They also have a dedicated team on SEEK whose responsibility is to represent their clients and recruit top temp workers on Australia’s most popular online employment marketplace.

Overall, their proactive attitude is a wonderful trait to have. Not too many people have issues with them, except for some who wish they implemented better benefits and more accurate job postings.

Pros

  • Database of over 100,000 candidates
  • Popular platform for job seekers
  • Has a dedicated SEEK recruitment team

Cons

  • Lacklustre incentives
  • Some roles offered didn’t last as promised

I had a wonderful experience from start to finish

“I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The service and communication was excellent. Even though I wasn’t successful in the role I applied for, I will definitely be going through 11 Recruitment again.”

I am pleased to recommend 11Recruitment without reservation

“I am pleased to recommend 11Recruitment without reservation. The high level of professionalism, dedication, and finesse demonstrated by my assigned agent, Debbie, exceeded my expectations. Having interacted with multiple agencies over the years, I have often felt treated as a mere statistic to meet quotas. However, Debbie’s approach provided a sense of comfort and assurance, enhancing my experience with personalized attention. I confidently give 11Recruitment a five-star rating for their exemplary service.”

Hays is a recruitment and temp agency that was founded in 1968. Their comprehensive temp recruitment services cater to various sectors, including marketing, human resources, and technology.

Interestingly, they’re also connected with the state and federal governments and can recruit temp government employees.

Aside from the vast range of industries they serve, another thing I love about Hays is their free online training program to help job seekers “upskill” and gain new knowledge.

For employers, they also offer coaching programs that will help businesses implement work-life balance and workplace inclusivity for the betterment of both their permanent and temporary employees.

However, it’s a bit worrying to hear that Hays’ staff has a tendency to not respond to calls and emails. Some temp workers they hired also told me that their salaries weren’t attractive.

Pros

  • Can recruit temporary government employees
  • Offers free online training for job seekers
  • Has workplace inclusivity and work-life balance coaching programs

Cons

  • Unimpressive salary for job seekers
  • Doesn’t respond sometimes to calls and emails

The team at Hays in Perth are absolutely amazing!

“The team at Hays in Perth are absolutely amazing! Professional, hard working and diligent they’ve had my back transitioning into the mining industry. Highly recommended! The other Hays contractors I work with on site are equally impressed with the team at Hays. Thanks team ☺️ you all rock! (Unsure if I should mention names, but O.T and E.O you two are superstars 🙏🏽 🏻‍ 🏽)”

Sense Recruitment, founded in 2007, boasts 17 years of experience connecting professionals with many Australian companies. Their comprehensive recruitment services cover permanent and temporary placements across various sectors, including technology, finance, HR, marketing, and more.

What’s exciting about them is the way they conduct business. For temporary placements, they have free consultation sessions to ensure Sense’s recruiters will have a solid idea of what kind of employees a client will need.

It’s also nice that they offer payroll services for contract workers, so businesses won’t have to hire additional people to handle this issue.

Another great thing about Sense is its referral program, which provides monetary rewards to anyone who can refer those who are in need of their services.

However, I find it annoying that their recruiters sometimes “ghost” job seekers instead of notifying them that they’re no longer being considered for a position.

Pros

  • Offers free consultation sessions
  • Has contractor payroll services
  • Has a referral program

Cons

  • Sometimes “ghosts” job seekers
  • Sometimes doesn’t respond to calls and emails

Michael Page is a popular temp agency that has a rich history dating back to its establishment in London in 1976. In Perth, they excel in temporary recruitment services for sectors like finance, technology, and the government.

For me, their expansive talent pool is a huge plus. For their temporary job platform, they receive over 15,000 resumes per month. And if you need someone for an extremely niche position, Michael Page can also tap into their global network of potential candidates across 36 different countries.

At first, I thought they’d have a hard time choosing the perfect candidate from their vastly large talent pool. Thankfully, that’s not the case, as they use advanced recruiting platforms like Salesforce to enhance their screening process.

Sadly, it came to my attention that some of Michael Page’s staff sometimes act rudely towards clients.

Pros

  • Large talent pool
  • Has worldwide reach
  • Uses advanced recruiting platforms like Salesforce
  • Can recruit temporary government employees

Cons

  • Some staff are rude
  • Sometimes “ghosts” job seekers

The team at Michael Page have been very pleasant to work with

“The team at Michael Page have been very pleasant to work with. I received regular calls with updates to the job market. I was also presented with more opportunities than every other recruiter I worked with. I worked with Lorraine Wong to secure a permanent role at a large WA company. She was very proactive and did everything in her power to get the best outcome for me. I highly recommend getting in touch with Michael Page.”

-A Nguyen, Google Reviews

I was very impressed about the quality of service provided by Michael Page

“I was very impressed about the quality of service provided by Michael Page. They were constructive, helpful and honest with me regarding the market status and job searching. I also noticed that they share information about candidates between each other and work as a team.

Jarrad Johnston was super friendly and helped me to find the best job ever.

Thanks Michael Page!”

Founded in 1989, Trojan Recruitment Group is a renowned temp agency that specialises mostly in blue-collar roles. Their services include temporary recruitment, labour hire, and permanent placement for industries like construction, mining, manufacturing, and rail.

More importantly, they can also recruit job seekers who are interested in working for the Australian Defence Force.

Beyond their recruitment services, I’m also impressed with the other services Trojan offers, like their HR consulting service. This service can help your business become more attractive to potential candidates by improving workplace safety, onboarding practices, and more.

As for job seekers, they also offer rail training programs that you can complete to apply for a certification and become a part of Western Australia’s flourishing rail industry.

Still, despite their many positives, it’s a bit sad to hear from job seekers that Trojan doesn’t include many benefits in the jobs they offer.

Pros

  • Specialises in blue-collar industries
  • Can recruit workers for the Australian Defence Force
  • Offers HR consulting service
  • Offers rail training programs to job seekers

Cons

  • Lacklustre incentives offered
  • Sometimes doesn’t respond to calls and emails
