Pros

  • Excellent food quality
  • Has a degustation menu
  • Large selection of wines available

Cons

  • Long wait times
  • Above-average prices

Rustico features a relaxing atmosphere where you can try out some of Spain’s best dishes with their degustation menu.

Located in Rockingham, this cosy restaurant is the go-to for many fans of Spanish cuisine due to the many Spanish dishes they have on offer while maintaining a level of quality that is definitely worth trying out at least once.

Their degustation menu is a five-course meal which costs AUD 75. Some of the dishes included in the degustation are tempura prawns, avocado salsa, and smoked chorizo.

This menu is a great option if you are still mostly unfamiliar with Spanish cuisine and want to try out most of what Rustico has to offer.

In addition to their tapas restaurant, Rustico also has their own wine bar which hosts a lot of alcoholic drinks that can be paired up with your meals.

If you primarily come for the drinks, then you don’t need to worry, as they host a happy hour from 5 PM to 6 PM every Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.

You can enjoy a good beer or martini with a fresh taco or chorizo on the side for significantly lower prices during happy hour.

A lot of their customers highly recommend Rustico because of their food quality and the beautiful aesthetic their establishment has.

However, some customers have expressed frustration about the long wait times they have to endure for their food. Prepare to wait at least 30 minutes to an hour if you make a large order like their degustation menu.

Another downside with Rustico is that a lot of their customers think that they’re a bit too pricey, especially when compared with other tapas restaurants.

Pros

  • Fiesta menu for large groups of people
  • Large food servings
  • Dietary options available

Cons

  • Only allows dine-in
  • Very limited business hours

Picada is a Spanish restaurant widely known for their affordable yet authentic Spanish cuisine experience. Their generous servings of food are certainly something you’ll love especially if you plan to eat with many friends or family.

Run by Chef Graham Arthur, Picada is a Spanish restaurant that proudly uses locally sourced ingredients to give their customers their unique take on some of Spain’s most popular foods like chorizo and jamon croquettes.

Their famous fiesta menu is a mix of various Spanish dishes and is a good introduction to Spanish cuisine. It starts at AUD 59 for 2 persons minimum.

Most customers love the fiesta menu, as it gives them large servings of Spanish food which many agree is worth the asking price.

Another thing we love about Picada is their vegetarian options for those who can’t or won’t eat meat. Simply inform your waiter about your dietary options so that their chef can modify or alter the dishes to not include any ingredients you don’t want.

Some downsides with Picada are that they only serve dine-in customers and aren’t open on most days.

They are only open on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays which can be a problem for those with busy schedules.

Also, if you want to try out Picada’s delicious dishes and fiesta menu, you’ll have to visit their restaurant, as they don’t have a takeout or delivery service available.

Pros

  • Bottomless brunch
  • Offers a special menu for large groups of people
  • Amazing aesthetic

Cons

  • Poor customer service
  • Has issues with reservation

Pinchos Bar De Tapas offers exciting and affordable solutions for both solo and groups who want to try out authentic Spanish cuisine.

As a Spanish restaurant and bar, Pinchos Bar De Tapas is one of the best go-to places if you’re craving Spanish food, as they’ve got not only a wide selection of Spanish food on their menu but also a good range of wines available.

One of their unique selling points is their bottomless brunch service. If you visit them on Saturdays and Sundays between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM, you can enjoy bottomless servings of beer and wine to complement your Spanish tapas.

Another noteworthy offering they have is the Feed Me menu, which is a menu where they make the choice for you and your friends.

This menu is available for groups of four people or more and prices start at AUD 49. To us, this is certainly a good deal given the number of people it can serve below AUD 50.

Aside from the delicious food, many customers complimented the aesthetic and amenities of Pinchos Bar De Tapas for its unique homely feel.

Many customers told us that dining at Pinchos Bar De Tapas is certainly a relaxing experience.

However, some customers have also told us that they were quite disappointed with the staff and their customer service.

Some of their complaints include tables not being cleaned fast enough for new customers and the waiters being too slow in entertaining orders from guests.

Another weakness of theirs is their messy reservation system. There were some instances when the table reserved was granted to someone else and the guest had to make do with another table.

Some customers have also told us that cancelling reservations is hard because the management is too slow to answer phone calls.

Pros

  • Bottomless midday meals
  • Award-winning establishment
  • Dietary options available

Cons

  • Long waiting times
  • Above-average prices

Duende Tapas Bar is an award-winning Spanish restaurant that consistently delivers delicious Spanish dishes both locals and tourists of Perth love.

This Spanish restaurant has already made significant strides in being noticed as one of the best restaurants to try out in Perth.

They’ve received many awards like TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award 2020 and Restaurant Guru’s Best Romantic Restaurant 2019.

Being a favourite among tourists and couples is certainly a good reason to be excited about what Duende Tapas Bar has to offer to its customers.

Their main feature is Spanish tapas dishes. If you are still new to Spanish cuisine or can’t pick what you want, Duende Tapas Bar offers a chef’s selection menu for AUD 50 per person.

If you have a dietary restriction, you can inform your waiter about your preferences, and the chef can prepare a custom dish for you with no additional fees.

If you want to enjoy bottomless beer and wine with your tapas, you can avail of their Menu Del Dia, which runs from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM every day.

For AUD 75, you can enjoy delicious tapas and a wide range of bottomless alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks during the 90-minute window.

And good news for pet owners: Duende Tapas Bar is also a pet-friendly establishment!

Inform your attending waiter about your dog, and they’ll pick a spot where you and your dog can be comfortable with a free water bowl.

However, some customers have told us that they believe that Duende Tapas Bar charges a bit too much for their food compared to other Spanish restaurants.

This is based on the size of servings they’ve received compared to what they’ve paid.

Another downside is Duende Tapas Bar’s slow customer service, especially during busier days. Some customers have told us that they waited for more than 30 minutes for their food.

Pros

  • Dietary options available
  • Offers exclusive dining and bar area
  • Excellent aesthetic and amenities

Cons

  • Issues with customer service
  • Only dine-in option available

The Spaniard offers a one-of-a-kind experience for lovers of Spanish cuisine, as it brings out the best of what Spanish culture has to offer not only with delicious food but also some of the best aesthetic decor we’ve ever seen.

Hidden in Wolf Lane, The Spaniard has some of the best paellas and tapas in Perth, as evidenced by the high praise it gets from most of its customers.

Some of its most noteworthy dishes include Paella Valenciana, which is a mix of vegetables and chicken cooked using the famous recipe from Valencia City. This meal only costs AUD 44 and can feed 2 people.

If you have dietary restrictions or preferences, then you’ll be pleased to know that The Spaniard offers vegan food options and states that all of its meals are gluten-free.

Should you want to host an event, The Spaniard can host private functions and events with seating for up to 60 people in its upstairs area.

If your group has more than 60 people, it can provide exclusive use to its entire establishment, which can hold up to 120 people in total. Details about costs and reservations can be made by contacting the staff by phone or email.

Whether you want a simple dinner or to host an event, The Spaniard is a good venue choice.

A quick glance from the outside of the establishment can already give you an idea of how good their place is. Its high-quality tables and cool lighting can give you a calm and comforting feeling.

Not to mention that because it’s placed in an alleyway, it’s far away from the main roads where pedestrians and cars can generate too much noise, especially on busy days.

All in all, the calming ambience and quiet atmosphere of The Spaniard is a big positive for many people who want to enjoy Spanish cuisine with their friends and loved ones.

However, a downside of The Spaniard is that it’s only offering dine-in services. Taking out dinner or ordering delivery to your home isn’t possible.

There are also some customers who felt that its customer service was lacking in some aspects, especially in attentiveness.

While customers have pointed out that they love the friendly attitude of The Spaniard’s staff, there were times when the staff forgot to entertain orders or accommodate special requests like lower tables for wheelchair-bound people.
