Pros

  • Provides individualised approach without forcing extended treatment
  • Skilled and comforting osteopaths
  • Great location

Cons

  • Online response can be sometimes be delayed
  • No upfront fees until contacted for a consultation
  • May require some waiting for a response if no practitioner or day is free for first appointment

West Perth Osteopathy is great with managing sports-related issues as well as chronic discomfort. We appreciate that they use individualised treatments that fit different needs and preferences, too.

The staff is quite well-rounded and has the ability to handle different body types. We appreciate not only their physical skill but also their non-judgemental approach.

It’s always good to know that the people who are meant to help you don’t make you feel uncomfortable. Every osteopath is AHPRA-certified, so you know they have the skills to match their good nature.

One more aspect we love is their location. The place is a converted cottage that immediately makes you feel at ease because of how personable it looks.

The good thing is that it has all the necessary facilities and updated features to make it feel clean and functional. It’s near enough to the train station that you can walk to it without having to be worried about too much noise.

We recommend calling over using email if you’re going to book a consultation. They are more responsive through that line.

We should note that, though not completely neglected, their online response is more delayed. So, if you’re in a rush, it’s best to wait until their clinic hours to give them a call.

Pros

  • Very qualified practitioners with efficient results
  • Upfront fees before you even book
  • Not pushy with rebooking

Cons

  • Can be slow with providing digital invoices
  • May reschedule your appointment
  • Deals with a lot of bookings

Perth Osteopathic has a good staff from reception to practitioners, so you’ll have a pleasant experience dealing with them throughout the whole process. One thing we love is how insightful and educational they are when speaking with clients.

Although they offer a solid range of treatments, their standouts are their deep tissue massages. If you suffer from chronic pain, one of their practitioners can determine if this is the best path for you.

We also appreciate that they are upfront with their fees. When choosing a treatment or consultation to book, you already get a breakdown of the initial cost.

It’s very helpful so you know what to expect financially. If you’re not sure what exact treatment or practitioner to book, you can give them a call and they are very helpful.

We noted that they are generally responsive to questions sent through email, too. You just might be more comfortable getting your answers right away by going through their phone lines.

The only thing that really gives us pause is their availability. Although they are responsive, they often field plenty of bookings.

This means that there are occasions where you will get rescheduled even if you’ve already set an appointment. They won’t charge you for schedule changes if it comes from their end, but it can still be a hassle to deal with.

We also recommend that you actively send follow-ups if you need to get your invoices in order, as they aren’t the speediest at providing this digitally.

That said, this clinic is still great at what it does and it’s worth booking once you receive your treatment. They also give at-home exercises that pretty consistently have efficient and promising results.

Their Nedlands location is their latest spot, so you’ll get access to ample facilities and improvements that make the whole experience better.

Pros

  • Very friendly and warm staff
  • Highly experienced osteopaths
  • Good with children

Cons

  • Naturopathic treatments temporarily unavailable
  • Parking can be challenging during busy times
  • Neighbour shops and environment not as well-kept as interiors

What we love about Northern Osteopathy is how comfortable they let each person feel. No matter who you speak to, you’ll have a good interaction.

This extends to their actual services, too. Because every osteopath has been trained with experience in different regions, you know you’re being handled with care and experience no matter who you work with.

We should note that some of their best services, including their naturopathic treatments and pregnancy massages, are currently unavailable. It’s a shame, too, because we find that they truly excel with those treatments.

If you’re in need of those treatments, it’s best to look elsewhere for now. That said, they still have a very excellent range of osteopathic solutions that make the place worth visiting.

The osteopaths here are great with chronic pain and complicated conditions. One thing we think is a highlight is that they also have a lot of confidence handling issues for younger individuals.

If you have little children with relevant issues, a consultation here can really make a difference.

The clinic itself is very relaxing and clean with great interiors, but the outside location could be better. We noticed that the Belridge Shopping Centre is decidedly aged, and could use a little more upkeep.

Considering its location, this also means the surrounding area can get very busy. Even if there is ample parking available, the way the lot is set up makes manoeuvring between a lot of other vehicles pretty tricky.

If you happen to go during a busy time for the centre, we recommend preparing yourself for some annoyance trying to park.

Overall, Northern Osteopathy is still a great place to get help for body pain because of the staff and their success in treating different issues.

4. Melville Osteopathy

Pros

  • Clean, standalone structure with ample parking
  • Has specialists for different ages and issues
  • Upfront fees without booking

Cons

  • Osteopathy options pricier than others
  • Available by appointment only
  • Across the street from auto services that can be very busy

Melville Osteopathy is immediately different from others in that it operates purely by appointment. This means there are no real designated clinic hours and your schedule will be determined upon booking.

That said, you can still reliably reach out to them if you call during usual office hours. We find that they’re quite responsive from around 10:00 AM to the afternoon, aside from lunch hours.

One thing we appreciate is that they show their fees for all their services on their website, even if you don’t choose to book an appointment. You can see all their treatment and consultation prices in detail by going to their “Fees” page.

We also appreciate that they are more forgiving in terms of cancellations and rescheduling as long as you have a valid emergency or issue. Otherwise, you will still get the usual cancellation fee.

They have a great staff, too. Each osteopath has their own approach but still manages to get the desired results.

If you have any concerns, they are also very open to feedback. Even their reception staff is very patient and friendly, so it really creates a good environment.

We like how they have specialists that can treat niche cases, too. Whether you need someone to treat a baby or you just have a problem that can’t seem to be diagnosed, they have a staff member that can attend to it.

We will note that their osteopathic treatments are more expensive than other options. Even with a health fund, it stands as a pricier investment.

Of course, their great environment and staff do make it a worthy investment should you decide to get treatment.

5. Scarborough Osteopathy

Clinic Hours: Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM; Tuesday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 7:00 PM; Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Pros

  • Very thorough practitioners with a good history of results
  • Very accessible payment plans with subsidy options
  • Peaceful and clean environment

Cons

  • Parking can be limited
  • Mostly inactive on social media
  • Less expansive catalogue of treatment offerings

Although their services are not as expansive as other clinics, they are absolutely stellar at what they do offer. Because Scarborough Osteopathy is so focused on osteopathy itself, you get focused treatments that actually produce great results.

They offer consistent pricing for new consultations and follow-up appointments, so it’s very uncomplicated. We appreciate that they also offer a lot of options in terms of payment subsidies from health funds.

We don’t really love how inactive they are on socials, but they are quite responsive to calls and emails. If you’re certain you want to book already, though, you can always do it through their website.

The practitioners at this clinic are great with the usual pain management and tendon problems you expect with osteopaths, but they also stand out in their treatment of jaw issues, nerve pain, and chronic headaches or migraines.

On top of their skill, we really love how personable and thorough the practitioners at Scarborough are. They will explain everything in detail to you without coming off as overwhelming or daunting.

We do wish they had more room for parking, but it’s pretty manageable considering it’s their own space. It’s also in pretty close proximity to a bus stop.

Finally, it’s worth noting that a traditional acupuncture space is also on the lot, but it’s best to see if this is a good option first based on your consultation.
