Institchu’s showroom raised the bar for me. Even the space has taste, offering velvet couches and whisky to set the mood.

Still, it’s the bespoke suits that matter, and they ace that part. The core range alone uses Australian Merino wool, and it only gets better with the luxe picks, featuring fabrics from Stylbiella, Zegna, and other gold standard mills.

Don’t worry if you’re new to such things. Inside the showroom are seasoned tailors who’ll guide you through fabric selection and style choices.

You can’t just waltz through, sadly. Bookings are mandatory, and demand is high (they’re a go-to for weddings), which means you have to schedule ahead.

And though rare, they’ve cancelled appointments in the past.

The good news is, should anything go sideways with the measurements, they’ll sort it out for no cost.

Institchu also throws in bundles and discounts every now and then.

It’s easily the nicest suit I’ve ever owned

I bought a tailored suit from InStitchu Perth (CBD) for my wedding and the whole experience was next level. Taliana looked after me and was super friendly, honest, and incredibly helpful with every choice (including all the customisations), which made the process completely stress-free. She even suggested some special touches for the wedding day. I felt like I could trust her advice and that she genuinely wanted the suit to be right for me.

The suit and shirt feel premium and the fit is perfect—I didn’t expect to notice such a difference compared to my off-the-rack suits. It’s easily the nicest suit I’ve ever owned. Among Perth’s warmest and most helpful staff is Perfect Attire’s. Sam, for instance, is generally said to be polite and patient, chiefly when helping clients pick fabrics, colours, buttons, and stitching.

You’ll know that’s a perk once you see their extensive selection of 1,000-plus fabrics for shirts and suits alike. Most come from esteemed brands such as Zegna and Albini.

Mistakes don’t happen often, either, thanks to their exhaustive Test-Fit process. Fittings (usually done twice) are provided to every client, no matter the order number.

A minor hiccup is the lack of Sunday hours. Some names here operate daily, which helps make busy periods manageable.

It’d also be handy if they had an online tool for suit previews or design tests. That way, appointments could be shortened.

The pricing should stay, though. Perfect Attire’s rates make sense for Perth, and those discounts and packages only sweeten things.

Founded on the idea that a person’s outfit must reflect their aspirations, the Zenith Tailors experience is fully guided.

It begins with a detailed chat about a client’s lifestyle and the suit’s purpose before moving to an even more intensive 2–6-week process. That’s when your measurements, posture, style choices, and personal additions will be recorded.

And from experience, the results usually look A-grade. Can’t say it’s shocking really; beyond the hand-stitched craftsmanship, the fabrics are sourced from prominent Italian and English mills.

Just keep in mind they shut down on Sundays and aren’t exactly big on discounts. The last big price cut was back in 2022.

Fortunately, the standard pricing is in line with Perth’s usual numbers. They’re transparent about it as well, with the fees available by request.

The chances of Germanicos running low on fabrics are very, very low. Over 15,000 options are available, and they come from names such as Dormeuil, Loro Piana, and Piacenza, with some made specifically for Perth’s climate!

Rushed meetings aren’t their style either. Consults often take 1.5 hours, and clients receive 44-plus measurements, covering stuff like shoulder balance, stance, movement, and chest contour.

After that, you get to visualise the final product via a designer-operated 3D software. That means you can inspect every detail before cutting starts, avoiding time-wasting errors.

We’d say the costs are decent, too. The shop’s most affordable tier is close to Perth’s average despite using international fabrics.

There are snags, of course, and one of those is comms-related. Some clients find Germanicos’ response speed slow.

And while the in-house staff is great at breaking things down, they can be a bit too salesly at times.

That aside, many love rocking up to the showroom, citing Tony’s expertise, attention to detail, honesty, and sense of humour as the biggest reasons.

One downside of that is how booked up they can get. With a massive clientele and no Sunday openings, squeezing in can get tricky.

But it’s usually worth the wait, especially if you’re gunning for competitive rates and threads made exactly for your body shape.

Besides, Perth Tailoring Co has services not offered by others. Corporate tailoring, media/uniform services, and advanced occasion alterations are the notable ones.
