Chakra Harmony is one of the best reiki healers to try out if you’re a newcomer to reiki healing. Its owner and sole practitioner, Gayle, is known for her warmth and did her best to assist me as I was figuring out which session would be best.

She has multiple reiki treatments available, such as in-person or remote sessions and reiki for adults, children, and even animals! She also has tailored sessions for those seeking reiki healing for anxiety or cancer.

I was looking for a reiki session to help me relieve some stress and tension, and Gayle was able to customise a session for me. She made sure I was comfortable before and during the entire session.

I admire how quick she is to pick up on cues, especially when I started to get a bit hesitant during the session. She gave me reassurances, didn’t rush me to anything, and allowed me to ground myself.

After our first session, I felt lighter and more at peace with myself. It’s a work in progress, of course, and I’ve seen Gayle multiple times since.

One of the sessions I tried out was sound healing. I highly recommend this if you have trouble falling—and staying—asleep at night because the sound baths unlock your blocked chakras and send you into deep relaxation.

As mentioned, she does have reiki for cancer and anxiety. While I didn’t try this, it’s good to note that these aren’t alternatives for medical treatment but are instead supplementary.

However, Gayle is the only healer available, so it’s important that you call to set an appointment.

Intuitive Reiki International is owned and run by Lisa Brandis, who’s been practising reiki for over 20 years. Lisa mostly focuses on her reiki workshops to train aspiring practitioners, but she still offers healing sessions.

You can try to book her services directly, or you can choose from other practitioners she’s acquainted with. Most of them are located within Perth and have been trained by Lisa.

I chose to book with Lisa despite the wait time. Her business also has no physical location and is mostly done online. 

You can, however, request an in-person session which will be held in a location in Southern River. The complete address will be disclosed to clients who have confirmed their appointments with her.

Despite this not being my first reiki session, Lisa still made the effort to tailor our session as much as possible. She asked me why I sought her services, what I wanted out of our sessions, and what I was seeking healing from.

She was warm and inviting for the entirety of the session, and it was easy for me to feel comfortable and safe. She was also highly intuitive and was able to sense the energy I was carrying.

She also encouraged me to try her workshops. While I have no intention of being a reiki healer, it was a good opportunity to learn more about myself and the practice.

I tried her Reiki 1 Beginners Workshop online, which covered all the basics of reiki and chakra. It also allowed me to apply reiki techniques to myself, which is helpful when I can’t access a reiki healer.

High Vibrations Perth is owned and run by Sandrine, who has received proper training for reiki, clinical hypnotherapy, and access bars.

Access bars is a type of treatment that uses light touch on the head to facilitate inner healing.

Because she has multiple types of services available, it was tempting to try all of them at once! After an initial consultation with her on the phone, I decided to avail myself of her reiki and sound session.

This session goes for a bit over an hour and starts with a hot cacao drink for the senses. 

Since she has no physical location yet, the only option available for in-person sessions would be to have it in your home.

Sandrine will bring all the necessary instruments you need. It’s advisable you prepare a quiet and private space in your home. 

However, you will be required to pay for her fuel, which I found reasonable considering her prices.

Her prices start at $100 for a one-hour reiki session and $140 for reiki and sound. Her hypnotherapy sessions are a bit more pricey with the initial session at $190 and follow-ups at $145.

If this is out of your budget or if you don’t want an in-person session, her remote sessions are priced at only $40!

I do strongly recommend in-person sessions for the full experience, and the price was worth it. After warming up with cacao, she guided me through the sounds as I allowed myself to fully relax.

My favourite part was when she used the access bar technique by gently touching my head. This allowed me to go deeper into relaxation and when I opened my eyes, I felt refreshed and energised.

True Healing Collective is your choice when you’re opting for more holistic services other than reiki. They offer other services such as infrared therapy, naturopathy, massages, hypnotherapy, and yoga classes.

They have a physical location in South Perth to house their multiple services and equipment. Upon entering their premises, I found it to be warm and welcoming.

I only tried their reiki sessions, primarily due to cost constraints. Their reiki sessions start at $90 for an hour, and while this is pretty standard, I found their other services to be a bit too pricey.

I already had prior experience with Access Bars and was looking to try it here. However, I opted against it since a single session costs $175!

The reiki session was great, but it wasn’t as personalised as my past sessions with other healers. However, it is possible to build a closer relationship with any of their four reiki practitioners available. 

Unfortunately, they don’t offer individual sound healing or sound bath sessions. The only way to avail of these sessions would be to join their group classes.

While there’s nothing wrong with that, I do prefer an individual session to keep the session more private, sacred, and personalised.

However, those I’ve spoken to said that their sound healing classes were great, with the practitioner always making sure everyone was comfortable. It’s a good option for those who are new to sound healing, especially since it starts at $45.

Next on our list is Megan Yule who has her own small but cosy place in East Fremantle. Once I saw the photos of her space, I knew that I wanted to give it a try.

Her reiki room is cosy, with the bed just at the right firmness to support my back. It also felt homey with houseplants and other little trinkets.

Megan only offers limited services, mostly focusing on reiki and breathwork sessions. I chose an hour of her intuitive energy healing, which cost $150.

Her breathwork sessions also start at the same price but only for the introductory level. The more advanced sessions are priced at $200 and $280 for 90 minutes and 120 minutes, respectively.

Those who plan to take breathwork sessions, however, are required to fill up a waiver and questionnaire. This is because it has possible contraindications with certain conditions.

I find the prices to be a bit on the higher end, but it is a worthy premium to pay considering the amenities and Megan’s service. Megan exuded a warm presence, and welcomed me with a smile.

Megan also has a relaxing voice that made it easy for me to relax. Thus, it didn’t take long for me to allow Megan to guide me throughout the rest of the session.

After our session, I felt a sense of lightness and relief from all the stressors and heaviness I initially had when I arrived.
