Pros
- Over 25 years of experience
- Their inspectors are registered builders
- Flexible service list
Cons
- Lacks responsiveness
- They tend to fall short in communicating their assessments to their clients
With over 25 years of experience in the building and construction industry, Master Building Inspectors provides detailed inspections for both residential and commercial properties.
We love that their inspectors are qualified and registered builders.
Presently, the inspection industry in Perth isn’t regulated. Hence, no registration or licensure is required to practice property inspection.
This is why qualification and registration as builders are important in selecting your building inspectors.
While there isn’t any qualification required for inspectors, we think that builders, with their experience in construction, will still recognize major and minor defects in buildings.
We also love that they offer a wide range of services to Perth locals. With their offers, clients can opt for a full-service inspection or a targeted inspection, such as one for cracks on your ceilings and cornices or on your internal and external walls.
Building inspections are a common prerequisite for purchasing a new property, so we appreciate that they offer these maintenance inspections as well.
Looking at their inspection report, we love that they can finish it within 24 hours after inspection. It’s prompt, so you don’t have to worry about inspection-related delays in purchasing, constructing, or repairing your properties.
They also make sure they include assessments on safety hazards and major and minor defects and remedial recommendations.
However, a few clients point out a lack of responsiveness after inspection. Another client also noted their staff wasn’t thorough enough in explaining the defects found on his property.

Pros
- Excels in pest inspection
- Affordable
- Noninvasive inspection technologies
Cons
- Their inspection reports can be generic
- They aren’t accessible for post-inspection discussions
Worried about pests on your property? Rapid Building might be the best choice for you.
They offer excellent pest inspection services!
We love that their inspectors follow the Australian Inspection Standards for detecting pest infestation, so clients can be assured of a thorough and accurate inspection from them.
There are more that add to their credibility.
They’re members of the Australian Institute of Building Consultants (IBC) and the National Association of Methamphetamine Contamination (NAMC).
As members of NAMC, they’re equipped with the latest technologies used in conducting meth inspections in Australia.
They also use noninvasive technologies in their building and pest inspections. With their equipment, clients don’t have to worry about damage done to their properties while having the structures inspected.
The inspectors will also have their inspection report ready 24 hours after the inspection, and if they fail to do so, they offer to give your money back.
We also appreciate that they’ve organized their price list on their website. The rate starts at $229 and can go up to $475 depending on the size of your property and the services you choose.
However, a few clients note that their reports tend to be too generic and unhelpful in coming up with remedies to defects.
Their inspectors are also not available to discuss the inspection reports.

Pros
- 20 years of experience in property inspection
- Specializes in residential property inspections
- Offers free thermal imaging
Cons
- Limited to residential properties
- Regular inspection services are expensive
If you’re looking to inspect your homes, Prompt Building Inspections specializes in residential property inspections.
Unfortunately, this means that commercial clients might have to look for other options.
In any case, with 20 years of experience in the industry, Prompt’s quality of inspection is highly rated among the homeowners of Perth.
We love that they provide several inspection packages including a discounted “Building and Termite” package that offers termite inspection for as low as $55.
They also offer structural and comprehensive packages that already include Prompt safety checks and thermal imaging.
With their thermal imaging service, they’re able to identify leaks and other issues not visible to the naked eye, so clients can be assured of attentiveness and thoroughness in their inspection.
Their construction inspections are also a standout!
We love that they offer targeted inspections including plate height, roof frame, and practical completion inspections.
We appreciate that Prompt’s inspectors are registered builders. We think these services are only possible with inspectors who also have experience in the construction industry.
While we appreciate the packages they offer, rates for the regular services are pegged at $495 to $660, which we find more expensive compared to other inspectors whose rates start at $200.

Pros
- Excellent construction inspection services
- Offers building dispute inspection services
- Provides easy-to-read inspection reports
Cons
- Unresponsive after inspection
- Issues with punctuality
Houspect, is for us, a great choice for residential clients constructing their new homes.
We love that they offer home inspections during, and after the construction process.
Under their construction inspection, they make sure to inspect the slab down at each level; walls to plate height; the floor, wall, and roofing framing.
On the other hand, their after-construction inspection includes defect liability inspection and independent expert reports.
We think these services make a smart and practical choice to ensure that clients avoid higher expenses from defective construction of their properties.
One other unique feature that we love about Houspect is their building dispute inspection report.
Under this option, they come up with a building defect report, an investigation report on specific issues, and an independent expert report.
These reports are used to resolve any conflict between the homeowner and the contractor concerning the construction of a property.
In terms of their inspection reports, we appreciate that they provide a detailed analysis of their assessment and present it in an easy-to-read format. They also commit to finishing their reports within 24 hours after inspection.
There are however a few issues with their client service.
Booking appointments with them proves to be difficult, as they’re always busy. And if you’re able to book with them, clients note that their inspectors arrive later than the set time.
They also lack after-inspection services. Clients struggle to contact them for discussions on the report they made.

Pros
- Offers a wide range of inspection services
- Affordable pricing
Cons
- Issues with quality of inspections
- Their inspection reports can sometimes be unclear and misleading
With an extensive list of inspection services, Australian Property can accommodate just about all your inspection requirements.
Some of the services we think are unique to them include warranty defect inspection, pre-auction inspection, and pre-sale inspection.
We love that under their warranty inspection, they inspect properties to especially identify building defects that your contractors are obligated to repair.
We think it’s informative and practical considering that homeowners usually just go ahead and repair their properties from their own pockets despite effective warranties.
Their digital inspection reports are sent through email to their clients 24 hours after the inspection. Although digital reports can be convenient, we still think discussing inspection reports in person is more helpful to clients.
In terms of client service, we appreciate that they’ve outlined their schedule for when they’re available to do inspections. This makes it easier for clients to book an appointment.
Pricing is also comparable. Their rates start at $370 to $500 depending on the size of the property and the type of inspection.
There are, however, issues with the quality of their inspection. A few clients say safety hazards and other defects weren’t identified in their reports.
Clients also say their inspection reports are unclear and even misleading.

Pros
- Industry Expertise and Qualifications
- Same-Day Inspections
- Price Beat Guarantee
Cons
- Unclear About the Team
WA Building Inspections Perth offers independent building inspection services in an industry that is often unregulated
We prefer them over others as they bring over 20 years of experience in the construction and inspection industry. Their owner and lead independent building inspector, Russell McCarthy, is a registered builder with extensive knowledge and expertise.
They possess the necessary qualifications, including a Diploma of Building and Construction, Diploma of Project Management, and a Bachelor of Architectural Studies.
Unlike those mentioned above, their promise of same-day building inspections Perth wide can be a significant advantage for clients who need quick and efficient assessments of their properties.
Plus, their Price Beat Guarantee ensures that you receive cost-effective inspection services. And this commitment to transparency and affordability is truly commendable.
The website provides detailed information about the owner and lead inspector, Russell McCarthy. However, it doesn’t offer much insight into the broader team or their qualifications, leaving clients with questions about who will be conducting their inspection.

Pros
- Qualified Inspectors
- Thorough Documentation
- Quick Turnaround
- Client-Centric Approach
Cons
- Potential Higher Costs
Perth Building Inspectors, operating under the banner of Australian Home Inspections, is a prominent building inspection service in Perth. Founded by Andrew and Nicolas Del Carlo, the company aims to enhance the quality of homes in Perth.
All inspections are conducted by qualified builders with extensive experience in the construction industry. This ensures a deep understanding of construction codes, practices, and common issues.
Nic and Andrew Del Carlo have a decade-long history of building high-quality custom homes, giving them a keen eye for detail and a strong foundation in identifying construction defects.
The inspection reports are highly detailed, including photos and clear explanations of findings. This level of detail helps clients fully understand the condition of the property. Unlike others, reports are provided within two days of the inspection, ensuring clients receive timely information that is crucial for decision-making.
We like how their inspectors provide a detailed explanation of any issues found, including potential ramifications. This helps clients understand the significance of the findings and make informed decisions.
The high level of expertise and thoroughness may come at a higher price compared to budget inspection services. Clients should be prepared for the potential additional cost, which is justified by the quality and comprehensiveness of the service.
