The Best Thai Massage Services in Perth for When You Badly Knead Relief

Therapist Qualifications: We opted for massage parlours with therapists holding significant paperwork, mainly a Certificate IV in Massage Therapy and/or a diploma in Remedial Massage.

Verification was done through certificate and professional membership checks.

Ambience: Cleanliness, decor, lighting, and other calming elements, such as music and scents, were assessed to score this criterion. The team drew from our own experience and that of others to come up with a grade.

Longevity: Massage parlours with nearly a decade under their belt received higher scores. To confirm, we inspected business registrations and LinkedIn profiles.

Customer Service: Using calls, emails, and interviews, the candidates’ responsiveness and professionalism were scored. The ability to accommodate special requests boosted ratings as well.

Pricing: Rates were compared considering session length and the four previous criteria while also factoring in transparency, discounts, special deals, and city-friendly pricing.

The Avenue Perth team is always on the move. In a single week, we scour the city for matcha spots, check pet hotels if they’re worth the money, and jot down notes until our wrists act up.

That takes its toll, unsurprisingly. Past the physical bummers, our team often runs low on energy and high on stress.

Luckily, Perth’s therapists have the hands to fix us proper, specifically those who mastered Thai massage. The zero-oil treatment is all about assisted yoga poses and passive stretching, and our go-to parlours below do it best and cost-effectively!

Hutt Thai Massage is a safe bet if you want to be kneaded the authentic way. Style-wise, their therapists mostly rely on acupressure and specialist-aided poses.

I’d be lying if I said their Thai deep fix with hot stone isn’t a sweet grab, though. Those basalt heated stones and slow, powerful strokes are fantastic for easing tight muscles and finding pressure points (just a heads-up: it can feel painful, in a good way).

But don’t worry, as the approach here is totally personalised. Every time I pop by, they ask about bits like problem areas and preferred intensity, before and during the sesh.

I only wish the booking system were more precise. Sometimes, you schedule a visit for two, and it’ll only log one.

Their business hours could also use some tweaks. While it never happened to any of us, we’ve met folks who got confused by the inconsistent opening/closing times.

Pros

  • Reasonable price (with 30-min option)
  • Offers both authentic and heated Thai massage
  • Only 5 mins from the Perth CBD
  • Accepts health funds, except HCF

Cons

  • Occasional booking errors
  • Inconsistent business hours

Lovely and Chill

This is the best massage in Perth that I have ever been to. I got deep hot stone which is so good. And the lady was so kind to me and the place such a lovely and chill. I recommend u guys to come to for your best experience at the place.

Definitely Would Recommend

My friend and I were referred to go here! Booked in at 10am for 2 people for 11am and 12pm, both for hot stone with deep tissue massage. The lady working on us was very easy to follow, asking what our problem areas were and checking in to see if the pressure was too hard. It was an invigorating massage and not for those who want a softer hand. She worked on back, neck, limbs and face as well as stretches which for me was perfect. Definitely would recommend for those who can handle it 💪🙏

You won’t find therapists without a Diploma in Remedial Massage at Jade Clinic. If you’ve been sorted out by their practitioners, like the patient and skilled Jessica, you’ll get it.

There’s no overpricing either. Last time, we paid $130 for a traditional sesh with a “walk on back” extra.

It’d be smoother, though, if there’s a receptionist on deck, handling the clients and booking. I’m not a fan of therapists stopping mid-sesh to entertain a visitor or a call.

Some were miffed by the not-so-pristine sheets as well.

No major complaints on the technique end, thankfully. We chatted with many clients who paid for a Thai massage, and almost everyone claimed they walked out feeling looser.

The service list is fairly comprehensive as well. Aside from Thai, acupuncture and cupping are offered, with shorter massages focusing on a single part (like head or neck) to boot.

Pros

  • All therapists are diploma holders
  • Stacked lineup of services
  • Has bundles offering 5 or more treatments
  • Only 2 mins from the Perth CBD

Cons

  • Tends to be interrupted mid-session
  • Sometimes provides unclean sheets

Experience Is Really Good

Thank you so much Jade, the acupuncture and the message experience is really good, I feel relaxed and tight free, thank you.

Very Good

I went to Jade on Sunday for a message what was very good, because of pain in my shoulder she told em that acupuncture would help, I never had acupuncture done and said ok why not. This was the best thing I did, the pain what I had for many months is gone and I be back when I am back in Perth. Thank you very much.

If “no-oil” presses and stretches hardly unravel your knots, Ing Phu is worth a go. See, this parlour softens the strokes with aromatic oils, which are known to improve one’s mood while effectively managing aches.

It’s even better if you book the owner, Champagne (yep, that’s her name). Most patrons praise her ability to deal with problem areas, especially necks, shoulders, and backs.

You might want to save up first, though. They’re a tad pricier than most; a 30-minute massage can hit the $80 mark, while a 90-minute one is around $150.

I’m not the biggest fan of the space’s aesthetic either. I mean, it’s not drab, but the competitors simply have far more “soul-soothing” vibe and decor.

The staff, to be fair, knows how to settle you in with their warm and welcoming attitude. That’s a huge factor why most clients stick for two years or more.

Pros

  • Open for over a decade
  • Offers prenatal massage
  • Combines Thai massage with aromatherapy
  • Great record at dealing with lower back pain

Cons

  • Not the most aesthetically pleasing
  • Can be pricey

Felt Deeply Relaxed Afterwards

I had a 60-minute massage with Zaya, and it was absolutely wonderful. She listened carefully to my preferred pressure level, and made sure I was comfortable throughout the session. I felt deeply relaxed afterwards — it was one of the most satisfying and professional massages I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend her service if you’re looking for both relaxation and quality care! 💆‍♀️✨

Spotlessly Clean

This place truly exceeded my expectations. The staff are warm, friendly, and genuinely care about making you comfortable. The place is spotlessly clean and has a relaxing atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. The service was exceptional from start to finish, professional yet personal, making me feel well looked after the entire time. Definitely the best massage experience I’ve had, and I’ll be coming back for sure!

Another old hand, Piyawat has been kneading Perthites for over 10 years. You probably had a taste of their deep fixes, considering their presence across Armadale, Belmont, Dianella, Maylands, and Victoria Park.

I’ve been to the Dianella and Victoria Park locations before, and I’ll say both have cracking therapists, especially if we’re talking pressure. I never had to endure too heavy-handed massages.

Speaking of massages, remedial (HICAPS), aromatherapy, and deep tissue are the other options beyond Thai.

Their spaces are pretty much what you’d expect for a place of respite, too. Mellow tunes and aromatic scents play in the background, while the well-kept interiors rock earthy tones (some branches are lighter, though).

Unsurprisingly, quality hands and ambience don’t cost peanuts. Piyawat’s 60- to 90-minute massages are priced between $110 and $165.

We’ve also linked up with past clients who weren’t too happy with the not-so-cordial Victoria Park receptionist.

Pros

  • Open for over 10 years
  • Has multiple branches
  • Incredibly soothing ambience
  • Also has aromatherapy, remedial, and deep tissue massages

Cons

  • Some rude receptionists
  • Can be pricey

Very Friendly

Amazing. If you want a proper massage and/or relaxation experience, this is the place for you. They now have multiple locations too, so look for one near you. I use Piyawat (Vic Park) for my recovery massages every few weeks or so for my training recovery, and it’s so good. They can find your pain points you didn’t realise you had, they listen well and they are open on hours that suit you. For example, weekend evenings. So very friendly, true Thai style and Highly recommended!!

Loosened My Shoulders

Fantastic! She loosened my shoulders that had a lot of tension. I had a good experience from this place. A shame some haven’t. I guess it’s to each their own?

Customer-centric is a fitting way to describe Tara. All their therapists are trained to tweak pressure and techniques, depending on a client’s needs.

Regulars even enjoy a personalised treatment program, designed for achieving health improvements and preserving those gains.

Of course, such a personalised setup can set you back a fair bit. It’s smart to ring ahead (and to ask tons of pricing questions) so you don’t get any shocks.

Phoning them up is safer than booking via email, too. The latter has a bad history of dropping appointments, worsened by their often-packed weekends.

That aside, their traditional and aromatherapy Thai massages are generally praised for sorting out physical and mental pains, especially back aches. We suggest locking in a sesh with Venus for the best results.

Also, Tara flipped their “Open” sign in 2012. They can’t last that long in the wellness game for being dodgy.

Pros

  • Open since 2012
  • Designs a long-term treatment plan
  • Offers a couple’s option
  • Only 8 minutes from the Perth CBD

Cons

  • Can get pricey
  • Some email bookings not getting recognised

Incredibly Relaxing Experience

We had an incredibly relaxing experience! My partner and I ordered the Couples Deep Tissue Massage. After arriving, were immediately greeted at the counter, where we were taken to our beds soon after and came out feeling absolutely refreshed! I was served by Tina who managed to work out quite a few knots in my back, and we were offered tea or water afterwards. Everyone was very friendly, and we came out feeling great. Definitely coming back again!

One of the Best

Just had one of the best Thai massages ever and I’ve had many. Relaxing and clean place and friendly polite staff. Used to come here all the time until I moved away. Moved back here so happy that Tara’s massage is as awesome as always! 🙏
