Your walls can stand for centuries with the best masonry contractors in Perth!
Did you know that masonry can last centuries? Just look at the Taj Mahal; it remains stunning and solid despite construction kicking off in 1632.
You don’t even have to be an emperor to pull that off. Get the right tradies and materials, and you’re looking at a weather-resistant structure that will pass home inspection for years.
But yeah, masonry is labour-heavy, and materials cost stack up. That’s why you need a contractor who’s been around the block so your investment leads to walls and foundations that stay rock-steady for years.
We share the best masonry contractors in Perth below.

Kernowstone has been laying bricks for over 25 years. You can trace their roots to Cornwall, England, where period design stonemasonry is held to a higher standard.
That part becomes clear once you speak with past clients. “Fantastic” is the word most of them use when talking about this mason’s work.
Fittingly, a traditional approach defines their overall style. Natural quarry stones are shaped and laid using mortar or lime mortar, so the builds often last.
The use of lime mortar also makes Kernowstone a safe pick for limestone restoration, as the breathable material doesn’t accelerate erosion, unlike cement-based products.
Both heavy-duty builds and aesthetic upgrades are covered, too. Think fireplaces, pool feature walls, and stone pavements (these shops can supply you with quality paving stones!).
Just note that getting a slot right away isn’t guaranteed. Residential and commercial clients favour their work, and there’s no 24/7 helpline to manage bookings at any hour.

Very happy with the result and a pleasure to have him work on our property. He turned an old wall with loose unstable stone into a focal point in the garden. Before and after pictures included.

Apart from being open for 20-plus years, Timeless Restorations’ versatility draws in plenty of clients. Their service list includes tuckpointing, crack repairs, brick repointing, lintel replacement, limestone restoration, and more.
Every job is backed by a 10-year guarantee, and timelines often stay on track. We even spoke with clients who summed them up as either “punctual” or “quick.”
The snag is they’re so popular that some had to wait 3 months before work could begin, something the weekend downtime further complicates.
Good thing staff like Nikolai and Ashley keep folks in the loop. In our case, they made sure we understood the quotes (which many describe as fair), materials, methods, and timelines.
Detail-oriented work is another perk. From interviews, underlying issues such as cracks and rising damp were spotted early.
They even leave the site tidy, so you don’t have to book a separate cleaning team (though hiring these cleaners for a more thorough job isn’t a bad move!)
Cleaned Up Afterwards
Professional from start to finish. Good communication, Ashley’s quote was detailed, and Nikolai and Sebastian completed the work to a high standard, in good time, and cleaned up afterwards. Excellent colour match to our mortar, and brickwork looks like new again. Can recommend.

We simply couldn’t overlook Andy Smith’s 35-year-old portfolio. Trained by the Master Mason Cyril Haysom, this contractor has worked on notable buildings, such as Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace.
After moving to Perth in 2002, most of his projects have been suburban properties. He often teams up with a client’s landscaper or designer for feature wall jobs or full-scale renos.
Material-wise, Andy’s crew isn’t restricted to one type of stone. You’ll find granite, limestone, Toodyay stone, quartzite, and sandstone in his previous projects.
Bookings may be delayed, however, due to their smaller team size and lack of Sunday operations.
If you ask me, waiting a bit isn’t a shabby idea, especially if you want stunning, highly customised results. One home they laid masonry for even bagged the 2019 HIA Perth Home of the Year award.
Brilliant
Thanks so much Andy for the fantastic job you did on our feature wall. Everyone comments on how nice it is. Can’t recommend you highly enough, always on time and attention to detail that is second to none. Brilliant. 🙂

Art in Stone rarely deals with delays. Owner Ronnie sticks to one project at a time, so clients get his team’s full attention.
By projects, we mean internal/external feature walls and fireplaces, arguably the work most rave about. Some book them for garden landscaping and building restoration, too.
One downside is that projects located away from the Perth CBD often incur extra accommodation and travel costs.
Bookings may not be instant either, given their “one client at a time” mantra.
Past that, we have no major complaints. Art in Stone is led by an English stonemason with more than 35 years of experience, including stints in England and Scotland.
The crew is also said to be quite engaging. One interviewee, for instance, loved that they’re always up for a chat.
And as the name suggests, they have specialised carving services for customised stone pieces. Few other contractors provide the same.
People with his craftsmanship are very rare
Ronnie and his team did the most magnificent job installing our hand carved travertine fireplace mantle (100kg). His eye for detail coupled with his extensive knowledge of his craft is unmatched. This job was anything but straight forward and Ronnie handled it all very professionally. It was a delight having Ronnie and his team work within our home. I could not recommend Ronnie more highly, people with his craftsmanship are very rare.

For restoration and repairs, Bricks Fix WA is among the finest options in Perth. That has been the case for over 40 years.
The reassuring bit is that no subcontractors are employed. As an owner-operated firm, you’ll deal with one person or crew throughout the project’s timeline.
As for scope, they sort out both modern and heritage buildings, with the latter being the main draw. In fact, clients with heritage-listed homes often note Bricks Fix’s precision in repairing old render, matching mortar and bricks, and restoring fretted walls.
They’re arguably our most popular entrant, though. Planning is a must.
Restoration/repair work dominates their service lists, too. If you’re looking for masons for decorative or artistic stonework, we listed better options above.
On the upside, Brick Fix can meet tight deadlines once booked, and Marcus (their main guy) often repairs issues discovered on-site for zero cost.
He was great
Marcus and his team did a fantastic job at our home in Kalamunda. They repointed some old internal brickwork which was originally rendered to match the rest of our home. Marcus took a lot of pride in his work and was really lovely to deal with. He was great and answering all of our questions and put a lot of effort into his work. Thanks so much for fitting us in!

The repair work is seamless
From the very beginning, Marcus provided expert advice and ensured the plumber returned to site to complete their work properly. He went out of his way to source matching bricks and cut them off-site so he wouldn’t disturb my young daughter while she was sleeping. The repair work is seamless; you would never know there was damage to the wall. Marcus is reliable with excellent workmanship, strong attention to detail, fair pricing, and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Bricks Fix WA to anyone and would happily use them again. Thanks Marcus.
