Quality Work

Matthew Foot is an experienced and excellent tradesman. He is precise in his work and careful and clean when working. Matthew built an overhead cupboard as a part of our kitchen renovations. Matt also connected us with a plasterer and a tiler. Our requests were for small jobs and we were grateful that he fitted us in to his schedule. My Cabinets’ reasonable pricing pulled me right away. What’s better is the fact that they honoured the quote and didn’t charge for finishing tweaks not included in the original plan.

I didn’t drop a single dime for estimates and design consults either. Both are free, and if your calendar is too packed for meetings, there’s a 3D visualiser tool to help you map things out.

The problem is that you only have a few hours to work with, as this pick typically operates for 3 to 5 days only (call for confirmation).

Meetings are even strictly by appointment, so scheduling can get quite tricky.

What’s not tricky are the finishes and materials they can handle. Vinyl, painted, laminated, and special options are no problemo.

Alex, their main guy, is also a CNC professional. That means he’s adept at operating computer-controlled machines known for being precise.

Excellent Standard

Highly recommended. From our first meeting Alex quickly understood what we were aiming for in a complete renovation of our small investment flat, including total kitchen and bathroom replacement. He was able to make recommendations which suited our needs perfectly, then carried out all works at an excellent standard and nothing was too much effort. One of the top perks of picking eKitchens is enjoying in-person consults. Unlike other entries, this one comes with showrooms across Perth and Bunbury.

Skilled and personable consultants like Nicole, Heidi, and Kellie add to the appeal. They can whip up a design from scratch or refine an existing one, all with the support of a 3D visualisation tool.

Another win is their scope. Wardrobe, bathroom, laundry, alfresco, and kitchen cabinetry (they even made this list) are within eKitchens’ range.

In addition, they partner with trusted brands for their materials. Blum and Formica are some solid examples.

The front desk service doesn’t win everyone, though. While we were welcomed cordially, many claim they ran into less-than-interested receptionists. 

You must factor in the travel time as well. Their main showroom in Forrestdale is a 28-minute drive from the Perth CBD, not far, but since on-site services aren’t provided, you have no other choice.

Distinct Cabinets is seasoned and versatile alike. As of 2025, the firm has over 15 years in cabinet making, with extra solutions like kitchen and bathroom renos making them an all-rounder choice.

Our team really digs their design game, especially Sam’s. His portfolio consists of eye-catching cabinets that are cleverly planned to maximise space, all while considering the property owners’ budget.

And no, he won’t disregard your visions. The guy actually takes on his clients’ proposed ideas, just improving them where necessary.

Past clients also brought up his ability to cooperate with other tradesmen. Based on what we heard, that often leads to projects being done on schedule.

That said, the lack of Saturday hours, a free 3D tool for clients to play around with, and a dedicated showroom are a real bummer.

The good news? Based on the quotes they handed our interviewees and us, pricing is competitive.

If you’re after a full set of custom furniture, not only cabinets, Santer Interiors is a sound choice. The owner, Neil, has designed bespoke furniture for posh hotels (like The Savoy) in London, so you know he has the chops for high-end work.

He also has a sharp eye for visualising which materials or finishes will fit your current setup. One of my workmates, for instance, only knew a timber veneer cabinet was the way to go after Neil sketched it out and gave him a 3D visualisation.

Sadly, there’s nowhere to see samples firsthand, as Santer Interiors doesn’t have a dedicated showroom.

They’re not the largest crew on this list either, and fewer staff could mean limited availability.

Once you get them on board, though, they’ll run the entire thing. The process normally starts with in-person consults, followed by on-site laser measurements, design feedback, the building phase, and finally, installation.

Just In Awe

I am so happy that I stumbled into Neil’s Interiors business on Google search. What he created for our living/lounge room is beyond our expectations and we are just in awe. He certainly helped turn our space into a beautiful million dollar room. Knowing no-one else has our new built-in TV and Fish tank cabinets makes it even more special. Brilliant Designer

I was looking for a theatre cabinet to be made for my home in Hovea and after finding Santer Interiors on the internet I was instantly attracted to the work that Neil produces. I made an appointment and after meeting I decided he should design something for me that would be a home for my new TV.
