Perth Maxi Cabs is my go-to when it comes to taxi services. Its easy booking system and punctual drivers are the biggest reasons why I highly recommend them to Perth visitors.

A couple of things that make this taxi service great are the wide range of services offered and the cabs available. They have everything from your standard sedan to larger vans capable of carrying up to eight people at once.

If you’re a PWD, Perth Maxi Cabs has cars that are fully wheelchair accessible. You can notify them in advance about your condition through their handy online booking system.

Speaking of their booking system, I am pleased to say that it’s easy to use. You only need to fill out a few details on their website so they can send out a cab to you at the soonest possible time.

So what about their drivers? Based on my experience, most of them are great people and pleasant to be with. 

They sometimes engage me in some small talk, but they aren’t pushy about starting a conversation.

However, a downside to Perth Maxi Cabs is that it charges an additional fee for short distance trips. You might want to look for other taxi services instead if your destination is just a few blocks away.

Perth Maxi Cabs also sends the wrong taxi to your location from time to time. One time they sent me one of the largest cabs they have available, even though I was the only passenger.

I accepted it to avoid inconveniencing the driver. The whole event was almost comical for me, except for the fact that I had to pay more for a service I didn’t actually need.

Link Airport Perth is my favourite taxi service whenever I need to visit important functions and formal events. This taxi service prioritises luxury and comfort over anything else, which sets it apart from the competition.

When I said that this is a luxury taxi service, I meant it. Their taxi fleet is composed of luxury cars like the BMW 7 Series and the Holden Caprice.

My personal favourite is the Caprice because it has more legroom for its backseat passengers. For groups of six people, they also have luxury SUVs available.

Okay, luxury cars, check. But what about the drivers themselves?

I am happy to report that Link Airport Perth’s chauffeurs are extremely professional in their jobs. Their drivers always arrive on time, and they always try to accommodate my every request to give me the most comfortable ride possible.

One time, I left my phone in one of their cars due to my forgetfulness. My driver, Bas, was able to notice it immediately and made the effort to give it back to me as soon as possible.

Aside from their great cars and drivers, Link Airport Perth’s hassle-free booking service is another positive I’d like to mention. Their booking service is available any time of the day, and you can book a ride with them online or by phone.

However, a downside to Link Airport Perth is its above-average prices. Because this is a taxi service that prioritises luxury and comfort, you’ll need to shell out a few more bucks for its services.

Another downside to this taxi service is that its taxis can only cater to groups of up to six people. This is unfortunate if you’re travelling with a larger group.

Williams Maxi Cab is my recommendation for large groups looking to enjoy a relaxing tour of Perth. This taxi service has a fleet of the latest Toyota Hiace models, which are great for transporting both people and heavy cargo.

One of their most popular services is their City and Wine tours. Drivers of Williams Maxi Cab can conduct tours around Perth, Williams City, and nearby vineyards like those in the Swan Valley Wine Region.

Thanks to the Hiace’s spacious interior, they also offer taxi services to PWDs or those carrying bulky objects with them.

Another good thing about Williams Maxi Cab is that it only has a flat rate for all its services. They don’t charge extra for uncontrollable factors like heavy traffic or bad weather.

I used their service once when I had to accompany my overseas friends on their beach trip. I picked Williams Maxi Cab because their vans were roomy enough to accommodate me, my friends, and their surfboards altogether.

However, a downside to this taxi service is its above-average prices. Most of its services are priced higher compared to other taxi services in Perth.

Another downside to Williams Maxi Cab is their drivers who sometimes arrive late. Some customers told me that they had to wait more than ten minutes past the agreed time before their driver arrived at their location.
