Given City Glass Solutions’ 10-plus years in the business, we figured they’re doing things properly. One of those is accepting large-scale and smaller projects for both residential and commercial properties.

The 24/7 availability is another boon, chiefly because they don’t charge call-out fees. Plus, Matt and his team often arrive on time, a big deal for folks who need emergency installation or repair ASAP.

Efficiency is also a box they tick. In my case, the installation wrapped up in about a day (they even cleaned up), and our interviewees say that’s the norm.

They’re not the largest company in Perth, though. Peak periods can mean twiddling your thumbs a bit.

The good news is they’re quick at responding. I got a fair, obligation-free quote in about 2 hours, and it matched what I paid.

Just wish they’d post estimates on the site to give people an idea of potential costs.

Reasonable Quote

Had a window blow out on my balcony with no apparent cause. I reach out for 3 quotes online, CGS were not only the first to respond with a call, but provided the most reasonable quote.

I was provided a date, a 2 hour time frame, and even a 30 minute heads up text to let me know they were on their way.

Matt took the time to explain potential causes, and installed a different type of glass to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

Perth Window & Door Replacement (PWD) is the second-longest-running name here, clocking at over 40 years in 2025. A big part of why they’ve lasted so long is flexibility; they can customise the size, layout, colour, and finish of a project, be it commercial or private.

The installers are generally punctual and meticulous, too. A couple of my teammates, for instance, brought up Craig and Tony, who arrived on time, did measurements flawlessly, and finished the task within a day.

If there’s a glaring concern, it’s the lot behind the phone. We’ve heard from clients who weren’t too fond of the support reps’ abrupt and unfriendly style.

Their prices are also above average, but nothing too outrageous.

On a positive note, PWD’s service range is one of the largest here. They can install and have installed louvre, sliding, energy-efficient, DecoWood, security screen, and over 10 other window types.

I’m so happy with my new sliding door! From start to finish, the team at Perth Window & Door Replacement Company were fantastic. Stephen in sales was great to deal with, very friendly, informative, and no pushy sales tactics. The installers were just as professional and did an excellent job.

If meeting Australian Standards is a priority, Westview Glass & Aluminium might be what you’re after. They’re AGGA-accredited, part of relevant bodies like GWA, HIA, and AWA, and have a positive window energy rating.

You can also count on them for same-day and emergency installation, with prices staying within the “competitive” range. Better yet, the clients we spoke to were satisfied with the outcomes, even those who had to replace windows over 40 years old.

That said, estimates aren’t posted online, so you really have to call or wait for an email response.

Operations also halt on weekends. We have entries here that install windows 24/7.

The upside is that they cover a broad range of windows and glass types, such as sliding, awning, obscure, laminated, float, etc.

Lots of clients also praised their customer service, which can be summed up as “professional over the phone and on-site.”

Everything Went Smoothly

Had a large corner window installed in our second storey mezzanine floor. From quote to delivery everything went so smoothly. Clear communication, great installation and tidy, quick turn around from quote. They also made some good suggestions for ideas. Price was also very reasonable across all the quotes I got, would use them again for any future windows and highly recommend them to any friends.

I think it’s safe to say that O’Brien Glass meets our experience criterion. They’ve been installing commercial and residential windows for over 100 years, you know!

What’s great is that they take on same-day or emergency requests 24/7. The scope of this service even covers decorative or safety glass.

In terms of prices, their rates are slightly higher than those of smaller operators, though you’ll enjoy trade-offs like nationwide backing and reliable workmanship.

The customer support team received some praise from our interviewees as well. Aside from being polite, wait times are short, most likely due to O’Brien being a large company.

In addition, they’re the only firm here that can install or repair vehicle windows.

One glaring snag, however, is that you have to provide quite a bit of personal info to get a quote. Previous clients we talked to found this inconvenient and tedious.

Will Use Only Them

When I called for a quote, the lady was extremely professional and patient and so accommodating. She understood the urgency of the job and how stressful unforeseen situations are. The works were completed the next day and the glaziers were so polite, clean, on time and experienced. I can only say I had exceptional service and will use only them again!

Can you imagine the backlash if Affordable Glass is actually pricey? Good thing they’re true to their name.

Their installation services even come with lifetime warranties, meaning you get peace of mind knowing any fault will be covered.

On top of that, they start and finish efficiently. Several clients told us that Affordable Glass finished the job a week after quoting, and any delay was communicated proactively through texts, calls, and emails.

What’s nicer is that you deal directly with the owner instead of getting passed around.

It’d be better, though, if they shared estimates online. That’s especially true for clients who’d rather see potential costs right away.

Also, note that they’re a smaller, in-demand company, so availability can tighten up when demand spikes.

The silver lining? They’re versatile with a variety of window types, including louvre, sliding, and oversized ones.
