Pros

  • 25-year warranty
  • 10% discount for senior citizens
  • More than 10 years of experience
  • Fast services

Cons

  • More suited for small jobs
  • Specialises mostly in bathrooms

Waterproofing Works was a lifesaver when my bathroom started leaking water in my hallway. These guys were very efficient and were able to remodel the bathroom within just three days!

I think the biggest reason they’re so good at their jobs is their experience. Waterproofing Works’ founder, Mladen Cuk, has more than 10 years of experience as a waterproofing contractor.

He and his team remained punctual throughout their three-day service. They were always on time, and they never left their working space messy before ending the day.

Aside from their experience, I am also pleased with their 25-year warranty coverage on all their services.

While I’m not someone who’ll benefit from this, I appreciate that they are willing to provide a 10% discount for senior citizens.

I’ll be sure to recommend them to my parents should they require waterproofing for their bathroom too.

However, one complaint I have about this company is its small team size. It mostly deals with small jobs, and it takes considerably longer to do larger jobs.

I should also advise you to look elsewhere if you need waterproofing for your roof. Waterproofing Works mostly deals with bathroom waterproofing and indoor waterproofing.

Pros

  • Uses advanced techniques for its services
  • Certified by Australian Institute of Waterproofing
  • Quick and efficient staff
  • Offers site meeting service

Cons

  • Only 5 years of experience
  • Unavailable on weekends

Perth Waterproofing and Silicone Solutions is one of the newest waterproofing contractors in the city. Their quick and efficient waterproofing has earned them respect from many of their customers.

Many told me that this company is punctual and fast in completing its services.

What caught my attention was their policy to use only advanced materials and techniques for their services. For example, they use a high-grade epoxy primer called WPA TuffCote.

The said epoxy offers UV protection and also has anti-slip properties, so it’s safe to walk on.

They also use the “Peel and Stick” system for their wall waterproofing services. This system has a unique waterproofing membrane with high tensile strength and durability.

Moreover, the staff is certified by the Australian Institute of Waterproofing.

They also offer site meeting services. These meetings are helpful in determining how to best waterproof a structure while it’s still under construction.

One small qualm I have about the service, however, is that it only operates during the weekdays.

This company is also pretty young, having been established in 2017. Their five years of experience pale in comparison to older waterproofing companies in Perth.

Pros

  • More than 10 years of experience
  • Lifetime workmanship warranty
  • Uses high-quality materials
  • Fast response rate

Cons

  • Work mostly on bathrooms
  • Cases of poor waterproofing work

Alpha Sealed WA is an excellent choice when it comes to waterproofing your bathroom. Its 10 years of experience in the industry and use of high-quality materials have made it one of my best picks for keeping bathrooms mould-free.

It’s great to know that they use reliable materials like Mapei ePoxy grout for their waterproofing services. This grout contains elements like bacteriostatic agents and climate-resistant chemicals to make it durable.

I am also amazed that Alpha Sealed WA is offering a lifetime guarantee on its labour. Their materials, like the epoxy I mentioned previously, also come with their own 25-year warranty.

Another awesome thing I’d like to mention about this company is its fast response rate to calls and emails. Their owner has a hands-on approach to his company and is praised by many customers for providing quotes within a few hours.

They were actually one of my choices when I was looking for a waterproofing contractor to fix my bathroom. I ultimately went with another company for a reason I’ll explain below.

There were some customers who were unsatisfied with their work. One customer told me that their bathroom was still leaking and that they had to contact Alpha Sealed WA for a follow-up service.

Another downside I can say about this company is that most of its services are suitable only for bathrooms.

Pros

  • More than 20 years of experience
  • Uses advanced machinery
  • Can tackle large-scale projects
  • Wide range of expertise

Cons

  • Unavailable on weekends
  • May take some time responding to enquiries

Waterseal Waterproofing has been providing waterproofing to residential and commercial clients since 1996. Their more than 20 years of experience is their biggest advantage over their competitors.

I think they are the best choice when it comes to large-scale projects. They have tackled numerous high-profile projects throughout the years.

Some high-profile works they’ve done are at the Western Australian Institute of Sport and the Perth Concert Hall.

It’s not hard to see why they are a trusted choice among important institutions in the city. One particular reason is their commitment to using advanced machinery and tools for their work.

An example of this is their new GRACO Reactor E-10 HP Plural Component machine. This machine can apply waterproof solutions faster than traditional methods.

Another useful tool they use is the High Voltage Electronic Leak Detection system. This system detects leaks and gaps between waterproof membranes by applying a strong current of electricity to the surface.

An electric current wouldn’t be able to form a circuit if the surface had no gaps between its waterproof solution. Any gaps or breaches will alert the system otherwise.

It’s also quite amazing that Waterseal Waterproofing is an expert in many different kinds of waterproofing services. They can waterproof different sections of your home, including the terrace, roof, and retaining walls.

Unfortunately, this company only offers its services during weekdays. I suggest you reserve a slot as soon as you can.

You might also have to wait for more than a day before someone from their team can reply to your questions or concerns.

Pros

  • More than 20 years of experience
  • Can tackle large-scale projects
  • 10-year warranty for its services
  • Specialises in heritage and historic buildings

Cons

  • One case of poor waterproofing work
  • May take some time to reply to enquiries

BUSS Waterproofing & Concrete Remediation is a waterproofing company you can use for large-scale projects. Their experience and ability to work on historic buildings are what set them apart from the competition.

They’ve been providing waterproofing services since 1999. Their more than 20 years of experience have allowed them to branch out and offer other services like concrete repairs and joint sealing.

As I’ve mentioned before, BUSS Waterproofing is an expert when it comes to waterproofing and restoring historic buildings. Some of the historic buildings they’ve worked on are HBF Park, Mend Street Jetty, and the Don Aitken Centre.

I recommend you give them a try if you have a heritage home that needs some restoration work done.

Most customers I’ve talked to have highlighted BUSS Waterproofing’s professionalism as a reason why they love this company.

They praised the staff for meeting deadlines and keeping customers informed on the status of their work.

Customers also love the fact that this company has a 10-year warranty on all of its services.

However, not everyone was happy dealing with this company.

One customer I interviewed had an unsatisfactory experience with BUSS Waterproofing. They told me that the grout work done on their shower was uneven and shabby.

It’s also a bit disappointing that this company may take some time to reply to enquiries sent through their website.
