R&J Upholstery is one of the oldest upholstery service providers in Perth. Started in 1992, this company has some of the longest years in the industry and the most varied expertise when it comes to breathing new life into old furniture.
This company is my go-to for upholstery needs. My father gave me a bunch of old furniture stuck to help me spruce up my new home.
Unfortunately, some of these were already too old and had visible damages, like cracks on the leather sofas. One of my good friends pointed me to R&J Upholstery after he did business with them a while back.
My experience with them was great. They gave me a reasonable price and quickly got to work on restoring my old wing sofas and ottoman chairs.
The result was fantastic. The material they used was great, and the furniture almost looked like I just bought it recently.
My father was even pleasantly surprised when I told him that it was the furniture he gave me.
However, I don’t like that R&J Upholstery has very limited business hours on certain days.
They close their shop too soon on Fridays and Saturdays, which can be a problem for people who have limited free time.
Another downside that some clients told me about was that they experienced rude customer service from R&J Upholstery.
Some shared that the staff was making dismissive and rude remarks to their inquiries, which made the potential clients look somewhere else instead.
I myself haven’t encountered that kind of problem with these guys, but you may want to consider this before choosing this shop.

I’m quite impressed with this company’s long presence in the industry. It has been making and restoring furniture for more than 30 years.
Most of its clients are big-name companies like McDonald’s, the Duxton Hotel, Gloria Jean, and more. Argyle Furniture Designs has made a name for itself by being a reliable source of bespoke furniture.
A friend of mine did business with this shop. He got himself a couple of chairs he found on GumTree.
Most of these chairs were very old and had some noticeable damage already.
He told me that he saved so much money by choosing Argyle Furniture Designs. The quote was the lowest he was offered, and the upholstery quality done on his chairs was superb.
I asked their other clients too, and they all told me the same thing. Argyle Furniture Designs is one of the best options when it comes to restoring old furniture or buying a custom-made one.
However, a downside to this upholstery service is its very limited business hours. It also has a large demand for its services, with some of its clients being high-profile multinational companies.
These two factors combined can make it really hard for new customers to try out Argyle Furniture Designs’ awesome services.

I was pleased to find out that they only use great materials, especially for their outdoor furniture restoration service.
I asked their staff about this service, and they showed me the unique UV-resistant thread that they use for outdoor furniture. However, what really got my attention was what they said next.

You don’t need to lug around your furniture in your car or hire a truck to deliver it to them. Their staff will visit your address and bring the furniture back themselves.
Most of their clients that I talked to praised them for their quality services. One even told me that Polimeno Nominees accepted his rush order and managed to deliver on their promise successfully.
Some clients also commented on the friendly and welcoming attitude of this store’s employees. I can personally attest to this, as I had a great time during my last visit there.
However, a downside to Polimeno Nominees is its lack of a website. Most of what I told you here came from my own visit and stories shared by their clients.
In my opinion, a website is necessary nowadays. Most people prefer to get their information through a website rather than calling the business.
Another downside of this upholstery business is its limited availability on weekends. This can be a problem for some people who have very limited free time.

I love this upholstery service provider for its fast and great furniture restoration services. Most clients I talked to praised Oliver’s Reupholstery for finishing the job spectacularly in as little as less than a week.
It’s also not much of a hassle dealing with this company. This is because it has its own pickup and delivery service capable of serving most areas in Perth.
However, the biggest strength of Oliver’s Reupholstery is its collection of high-quality fabrics. Its store offers more than 3,000 fabrics clients can choose from for their furniture.
I’ll definitely check out their fabrics should I desire to change the look of my furniture.
However, a downside to Oliver’s Reupholstery is that some of its services are no longer available. It used to make its own bespoke furniture, but it has now limited itself to only offering furniture reupholstery services.
Another downside of this upholstery service provider is its early closing time. Some people may find it hard to visit their store since they are already closed by three in the afternoon.

All Class Upholstery’s staff uses only tried and tested methods to ensure a high-quality outcome for their upholstery work. Its staff can restore antique items like hessian buttoning and jute webbing.
