AME Automotive lives up to its name, delivering mobile roadworthy inspections throughout Perth and surrounding areas for over a decade. Their extensive expertise across various aspects of vehicle roadworthiness makes them a reliable choice. 

They inspect everything from engines, transmissions, and fluid leaks to steering, suspension, radiators, lights, electrical systems, and wheels. 

When they inspected my car, I found them punctual, thorough, and meticulous, ensuring no detail was missed before wrapping up the inspection. 

I was also pleased to learn that they include a full car wash and clean, a gift bag, an air freshener, and fuel card coupons. 

A big plus is that they are a Department of Transportation-certified car inspection station, which really gives you peace of mind. 

However, their services don’t come cheap. Fortunately, I managed to negotiate the original quote they sent, which definitely helped!

However, their weekend closure can be inconvenient for those needing to reschedule, making the process feel drawn out.

For trailer, truck, and caravan roadworthiness, ANG Automotives is a reliable choice. As an authorised AIS under the Department of Transport, they inspect a wide range of vehicles, including school buses, taxis, sedans, motorcycles, and carnet vehicles. 

If you own a vintage car, I highly recommend them. Their comprehensive checks cover engines, oil leaks, transmissions, brakes, and more. 

They also offer re-inspection services after repairs or upgrades, and they even accommodate temporary visitor vehicles—a great bonus for overseas travellers.

When booking their mobile services, I suggest calling them directly rather than emailing, as they respond faster by phone and can quickly address any questions about the process. 

Though their inspections are limited to office hours, their customer service is available 24/7 for support.

Stateroads conducts over 250 inspection points during pre-purchase roadworthiness checks, offering thorough evaluations. When my brother considered buying a luxury European car, he hired them and was impressed with their service. 

They provide same-day inspections if needed, covering everything from wheels, tyres, and suspensions to electrical systems, engines, brakes, transmissions, exhausts, and more—even road tests and interior fittings. 

However, they only specialise in pre-purchase inspections, so you’ll need another service for re-examinations. 

Stateroads also offers a 30-day warranty, but it’s limited to cars driven under 1,000 km and applies only to their Platinum Inspection Package—something my brother wasn’t aware of until after his car was ineligible.

Booking an appointment with Westmec Services was smooth and hassle-free. I once helped my mom get her car inspected, and they were available even in the early hours of the morning, which was a huge relief.

My mom, who’s very particular about her car, appreciated how the technicians treated it as if it were their own. They responded quickly to our call and accommodated us outside of regular hours—thanks to their 24/7 availability.

While their services are on the pricier side, starting at $285 for a 105-point safety check, there’s no call-out fee, which is a nice perk. 

Although their inspection covers fewer points than some competitors (who average 200+), their excellent customer service and round-the-clock availability more than make up for it.

They also offer free history checks (worth $30) for eligible vehicles, which is a great bonus.
