Founded in 2005, DNA Bioservices has become one of Perth’s most trusted DNA testing clinics. They’re best known for their partnership with DNA Diagnostics Centre (DDC), one of the world’s largest and most accredited labs.

For me, the best thing they got from this partnership is the rich variety of DNA tests they offer, including ancestry, food sensitivity, and skin care testing.

I should also mention that, as a National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA)-accredited institution, they’re one of the few clinics in the city that can provide the NATA Legal Paternity Test.

Unlike your usual paternity test, this one is done for legal purposes and follows a strict chain of custody to prevent evidence tampering. 

You can learn more about their tests by calling them through their 24/7 helpline. Just be prepared to redial, as they sometimes fail to answer the phone.

And that’s just one side of the coin. As mentioned earlier, they offer other services as well, like clinical diagnostic sessions that are carried out by their geneticists to ensure patients fully understand their test results.

More importantly, they are well-versed in pharmacogenomics and can formulate a medication plan that best suits your body. Should you be diagnosed with a genetic condition, they have a social worker who can assist in obtaining National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funding.

However, please take note that their schedule tends to get fully booked quickly. You’ll need to book an appointment several days in advance to enjoy their services.

Amy, a cancer genetic services provider since 2005, can provide comprehensive DNA tests that look for cancer-related mutations. 

Should it be proven that you’re at high risk of developing cancer, she can use her local connections with cancer specialists to ensure you’ll get the best care.

Overall, her expertise in this field is certainly commendable. It’s made even better by the fact that she accepts after-hours appointments for a small additional fee.

If you can’t make the trip to her clinic, she offers telehealth services as well.

Sadly, Amy isn’t of much help outside of cancer genetics and might not be the best choice for those seeking DNA testing for other conditions.
