Mullaloo’s name is almost synonymous with breathtaking beaches to Perth residents. But while the sandy shores and crystal-clear waters are indeed a big draw, there’s a whole new world just waiting to be explored in Mullaloo.
And this guide has all you need to navigate that whole new world!
We listed all the fun things to do in Mullaloo that go beyond its stunning beaches (although we’ll talk about the beach, too, because what’s a Mullaloo trip without a visit to the beach?).
Play a round of tennis or skate around Blackboy Park
Location: Karalundie Way, Mullaloo WA 6027, Australia

Operating hours: Open 24 hours
There’s a certain kind of fun you only get when you play with friends, no matter what age you may be. And that fun is certainly what we had while playing a round of tennis on the free tennis court at Blackboy Park!
Skaters also have plenty of areas to hone their skateboarding skills, so grab that skateboard and showcase some of your tricks! If we had the talent for that, we definitely would’ve joined those teens we saw practising in the park.
If you’re not really the sporty type, don’t worry because there are a lot of things to enjoy in the park. With picnic and barbecue areas and plenty of green spaces you can take a walk in, the park is a haven away from the bustling CBD!
Pro Tip: You can play with your fur buddy here even without his leash! Just make sure to keep your eye on him because he might wander off to the playground and scare some kids.

Sometimes, you don’t really need to prepare unique and exciting activities for a day to be fun. You just need a good, relaxing time with a bit of pampering—like what Sea Beauty Spa & Wellbeing can provide!
Offering massage, waxing, spray tan, facial treatments, manicures, pedicures, and a range of other spa treatments, Sea Beauty Spa & Wellbeing is the perfect escape for anyone who’s been too stressed the past few weeks.
The hot oil infusion massage Heidi provided us was definitely one of the best we’ve had in Perth. It was so soothing and relaxing that we almost fell asleep!
Pro Tip: The beauty salon offers a membership program that you can join if you want more comprehensive care for your skin. You’ll get a personal skin therapist who will prepare treatments tailored to your skin’s needs.
If you’re interested, ask about it when you visit!
Take a dip at Mullaloo Beach
From @open_water_wnkrs
Location: Mullalloo, Western Australia, Australia
If there’s one place that you have to visit when in Mullaloo, and the entire Greater Perth actually, it’s Mullaloo Beach! With its stunning white, sandy shores and clear turquoise waters, we didn’t really need much to feel relaxed here!
The waves were calm when we took a dip, which felt like getting a massage right in the water. The warmth from the sun is also perfect for sunbathing and a summery picnic date for the family!
If you’re worried about your safety, don’t be! We came across some lifeguards from a local surf life-saving club patrolling the beach to ensure everyone’s safe.
Pro Tip: There are plenty of parking around Oceanside Promenade, but they get full quickly on weekends. If you can’t find a spot, there are more parking spaces in the City of Joondalup – Westview Parking Station.
Grab a cup of coffee at the famous Dôme Café

Contact details: +61 8 9386 3099
Operating hours: Monday to Sunday: 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM
One of the most popular cafe restaurants in Western Australia, Dome Cafe is a must-visit whenever you’re anywhere near Perth. This European-style café serves just the right coffee to start your day with a smile!
We ordered their latte and cappuccino, which definitely lived up to the cafe’s popularity. They also have a range of iced coffees and milkshakes, which are probably better options for those heading to or just coming back from the beach.
They also have an all-day breakfast menu that includes some classics, like salads, sandwiches, pancakes, and toast. We ordered the ham and egg hollandaise and fell absolutely in love with their rich and creamy hollandaise, so make sure to try that!
Pro Tip: The cafe can get really busy and noisy during weekends. If you want a peaceful morning, the alfresco seating would be the best for you.
The cafe is also just opposite the beach, so you can just order a takeaway and stroll around.

The classes are mostly catered to kids from primary to secondary school, but we did have a lot of fun listening to our kids’ stories during their workshop. We also tried recreating some of their works with them, which made for a pretty good family day!

If there’s one thing that can guarantee a good day, it’s good food. But if good food is paired with a stunning view of the beach and maybe a sunset, if you’re lucky, then you’re in for more than just a good day!
Swell Mullaloo Beach in Mullaloo offers exactly that: good food and stunning views of Mullaloo Beach. They serve food from breakfast to dinner, giving you the opportunity to start and end your day on a good note!
They offer a pretty extensive lunch menu, but the fish and chips were definitely standouts for us! The fish and chips were very crispy and had a subtle hint of beer flavour.
Pro Tip: Reserve a table for the covered patio! This area offers the best views, but it fills quickly, so make a prior booking if you’re planning to dine there.

If there’s one thing that always comes up when talking about trips to Mullaloo, it’s definitely Hillarys Boat Harbour. Granted that it’s not exactly in Mullaloo, but it’s just a 10-minute drive away, making it extremely popular even among Mullaloo residents.
There are tons of activities to explore at the harbour, but one you shouldn’t miss is the chance to hop on one of Rottnest Fast Ferries’ tours. The tours can range from a simple ferry trip to Rottnest Island to skydiving.
We joined a day tour package that comes with a bike hire and had the most fun biking around Rottnest Island. It was pretty, so it did feel exhausting, but the beaches were too pretty to even complain about fatigue.
Pro Tip: If you’re bringing a car with you, take advantage of the free parking spots on the south side of Hillarys Boat Harbour. They’re just right beside the booking office, so you’ll easily find them.
