Start your art tour with a bang! Located on the Hay Street side of The Adnate hotel, the ‘Mega Mural’ of Matt Adnate is one of the world’s biggest – it’s a 27-story-tall piece of art!
This shows the faces of a Noongar man, an Indian woman, and a Mediterranean woman. For us, the best part is that all of these were created solely with spray paint!
The 250-room hotel is also colourful, and we think it has a lot of vibrance that could lighten a lot of people’s mood.
Travel tip: If you’re staying in the city overnight, why not check in at a vibrant hotel like this one?
It has views of the city and several amenities that we feel you and your loved ones may enjoy. For instance, it has an outdoor pool, a restaurant, a bar, and a gym.
The hotel is also right next to King Street, where there are lots of cool cafes, pubs, and boutique clothing shops.
Plus, the hotel is in the centre of the city’s busy business district. So, we believe this site is highly accessible for many.

Are you a fan of rainbows? Then, you’re in for a treat when you see the Fremantle Rainbow sculpture!
This was created by a well-known artist in Perth named Marcus Canning. We think this isn’t your typical work of public art as well – it’s 9 metres tall, 19 metres long, and weighs 66 tonnes!
The art takes up the whole wall of a building on South Terrace in the busy port city of Fremantle, so this looks eye-catching for many.
Moreover, it’s interesting for us that the sculpture is an arch made from 9 recycled sea barrels. In our opinion, this is a one-of-a-kind interpretation of your typical rainbow that kids (and kids at heart) would appreciate.
In fact, there are numerous angles you can try to get a magnificent shot. We suggest looking at Instagram for inspiration – a lot of artsy visitors have been here!
This artwork also looks out over the Swan River and the container port. This seems convenient if you’re heading there for the lovely sights.
When you go to the East Street Jetty on Beach Street, there are many places for you to park as well.
Travel tip: We suggest riding a free bike from the Fremantle Visitor Centre in the town hall. In our opinion, this is a great way to add a bit of exercise to your sightseeing!

Just one piece of street art in Perth may not be enough for most art enthusiasts. So, why not go on an artistic trail?
We think you should see the Rediscover Armadale Walking Urban Art Trail, which is 1.8 km long! Plus, it goes by the Jull Street Mall and Minnawarra Park, so we believe there are lots of things to explore in between!
A local artist named Fieldey created the painting. We think this art is amusing as it shows a bunch of cartoon characters and pop culture icons.
For example, this shows a surfing Darth Vader and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle who loves pizza!
Travel tip: Feeling snacky from all the art exploration? Stop by one of the neighbourhood cafes for a break or get something to eat to take with you!

The Water Corporation’s community project, Splash of Colour, is based on Fremantle’s colourful sea life. It shows how important water and the ocean have been in Fremantle’s long past as a port town.

The painting has a mix of colours, patterns, and shapes in a bold, abstract design. It also covers the whole side of a building in the suburb of Northbridge.
For us, the painting is a great example of how street art can change and make cities look better. Moreover, the location is already a living gallery of unique pieces by various artists, so you may also check out other painted walls nearby.

Every day, tens of thousands of people drive through the Northbridge tunnel in Perth. Along the way, they pass a picture of the area’s rich history that has been carefully etched into the tunnel’s walls.
This striking artwork in the middle of Northbridge was created by artist Paul Deej. It has a mix of abstract designs, colourful shapes, and complicated patterns.
We like that this painting is a great example of how street art can change and improve cities. Anything dull can be improved with a bit of colour, and we think more streets should have something like this!
