Pros
- Car park access via North St
- Free Patient Information Evenings (PIE)
- Their out-of-pocket fee is more affordable than many clinics
- Offers personalised and naturally modified IVF protocols
- Has useful partnerships for their services
Cons
- Some treatments can’t be covered by Medicare
- Closed on the weekends
If you’re looking for mild and naturally modified protocols for IVF in Perth, you may want to try MiFertility located in the East Perth and Midlands region.
From the get-go, it was convenient for us to acquire easy car park access via North St.
Upon enquiry, their staff provided us with the option to attend one of their Patient Information Evenings (PIE), free of charge!
This was also the opportunity to meet their lead fertility specialist. Patients can ask general and personal questions in a one-on-one 10-minute consultation.
Apart from being experienced in giving IVF treatments, they also partnered with PIVET Medical Centre for their top embryology services.
It was reassuring that this partner clinic already has a long-established track record of excellent success rates. They also have state-of-the-art laboratory facilities for egg collection and embryo transfer.
Additionally, because of this partnership, MiFertility can help women or couples seeking treatment using donor eggs or sperm.
As for the costs, the out-of-pocket fee for each fresh IVF/ICSI cycle is $1,500. Compared to many IVF clinics in Perth, this price is among the more affordable ones.
Clients could also easily be provided with Medicare benefits, as long as they remember to seek a referral from their GPs.
However, a number of their additional treatments that could maximise chances of success per egg collection cycle may not be covered by Medicare.
In the end, MiFertility doesn’t believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach. For personalised IVF treatment protocols, they’re easily one of the best options we found.

Pros
- Offers many areas of expertise
- Experienced and knowledgeable naturopaths
- Regularly hosts information evenings
- Has shown expertise in health and dietary management
Cons
- Inconsistent opening hours
- Long health questionnaires
Specialising in general, fertility and reproductive, and children’s health, Perth Health & Fertility has many areas they can help you with.
To get you started, they have comprehensive forms for the clients to answer. These are mainly health questionnaires to optimise the IVF service they’ll get.
These forms may take a while to answer, though. We estimate the need for at least an hour of the client’s time to ensure the accuracy of answers.
For couples undergoing IVF, their naturopaths can provide lots of practical advice too! This may concern lifestyle, stress management, sleep quality, and dietary and nutritional measures that can impact the treatment’s success.
Many clients can also vouch for this clinic’s helpfulness with their health maintenance during treatments. They also find their suggested recipes delicious and easy to make at home.
They regularly host informative and engaging events to educate their patients as well. They’re diligent in updating their scheduled information evenings online, so clients can pick specific topics that resonate.
Nevertheless, we advise prospects to take note of their inconsistent opening hours.
On Mondays, they start at 12:30 pm. On other days, they open around 8 to 8:30 am.
Their closing hours also vary (6, 3, or 4 pm). To avoid confusion, it’s best to check or contact them before coming into their clinic.

Pros
- Wide scope of fertility expertise
- Knowledgeable in recurrent miscarriage and unsuccessful IVF implantations
- Genuine and caring staff
- Accepts various payment options
Cons
- Open only 2 days a week
- No emergency services
Even beyond Perth IVF services, Dr A. Saba of Fertility Balance Care has a lot of fertility services and wellness support services worth noting.
This clinic conducts thorough investigations and provides individual attention to increase the chances of the clients’ success.
They also have a wide scope of special interests in female and male infertility, laparoscopic surgery, advanced colposcopy, and pregnancy after IVF.
We also found it reassuring that Dr Saba is knowledgeable in recurrent miscarriage and unsuccessful implantation during IVF cycles.
Several of their clients have openly expressed their gratitude toward the clinic for their long-awaited miracle babies. They commend this doctor for his knowledge, dedication, and experience.
We’re thankful that their staff also showed genuine care and took the time to explain their services.
For the payment options, clients can easily pay with cash or via cheque, EFTPOS, Mastercard, direct deposit, or Visa.
Unfortunately, they currently don’t offer any emergency services. They’re also open only two days a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays) for a couple of hours, so their availability is limited.
Nevertheless, clients are always free to send a message via their website or call to schedule an appointment.

Pros
- Provides a full range of fertility services
- Partnered with PIVET Medical Centre, known for taking on difficult cases
- Comfortable rooms and high-quality equipment
- Free and easy parking
Cons
- Clinical questions must be asked personally
- Success rates data may be outdated
Dr Mark Sillender, a consultant obstetrician, gynaecologist, and fertility specialist of Pearl Obgyn is one of our top picks for treatments of IVF in Perth.
We were impressed with the clinic’s range. Apart from IVF, they provide a full range of services involving keyhole gynae surgery – hysteroscopy and laparoscopy, colposcopy, advanced fertility management, menopause, and contraception.
As it’s partnered with PIVET Medical Centre, patients can also expect to be provided with innovative techniques and consistently good results. This clinic is particularly known for taking on difficult cases.
Dr Sillender has fixed sessions at PIVET for procedures and consultations. It’s also handy that patients can consult with him in Glengarry Private Hospital on the days he’s not at PIVET.
Their comfortable rooms and high-quality tools are notable too! The couches are electrically-controlled, their equipment is warmed, and their electronic records are optimal to support their paper records.
They offer free and easy parking for the rooms and the hospital when needed as well!
For those curious about IVF’s success rates, they provide a good reference on their website. It includes different age ranges and their respective clinical pregnancy rate per embryo.
However, this information was gathered way back from 2012 to 2013. Therefore, it’s best to look at these numbers and explanations solely for your initial basis.
For clinical questions, though, these may not be safely and legally answered by email so clients must ask personally. As for non-clinical queries, the clinic prefers to be phoned for a more fruitful discussion about treatments for IVF in Perth.
5. Dr Santanu Baruah of WA GynaeScope

Pros
- Provides a safe and sensitive environment for patients
- Offers a good number of fertility services
- Reasonable pricing
- Adequate consultation times
Cons
- Temporary challenge in parking due to hospital redevelopments
- Appointment waiting time usually takes 2 to 4 weeks
WA GynaeScope prides itself in providing a sensitive and safe environment to its patients. They want fertility issues to be addressed and resolved as comfortably as possible.
They specialize in treating a good number of gynaecological and fertility problems. This involves infertility services including assisted reproduction through IVF or IUI.
We think it’s incredible that they have a highly accredited gynaecologist like Dr Baruah with such outstanding awards in his field. Many of his grateful patients also commend his compassion and helpfulness.
Depending on your situation, consultations can last from 20 to 45 minutes. We believe this length is just the right amount of time for the specialist and patients to discuss.
However, we took note that they may have a long waiting time for appointments. They told us it usually takes 2 to 4 weeks for patients to get their slots.
With them, an initial consultation costs $250 and a follow-up consultation costs $130. These are around the average prices used by many IVF clinics in Perth.
Yet, these costs don’t include any extra procedures that may be done during the consultation such as an endometrial biopsy, colposcopy, and the like. Medicare rebates also apply to both insured (private) and uninsured (public) patients.
In addition, their Joondalup Health Campus has parking facilities with a ticket system.
Nonetheless, parking near their office may be a struggle recently due to hospital redevelopments. But soon, they would be finishing a multi-level car park for our benefit.
If you’re interested, appointments at WA GynaeScope can be made from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays.
