Bring your loved ones along for any special event at the spectacular Optus Stadium!

This 60,000-seat, world-class, multi-purpose stadium can host a variety of sporting and entertainment events. AFL, International and Big Bash League cricket, soccer, rugby league, and union, as well as concerts, are all included.

Note that admission tickets for most events start at $76.56, so make sure to book yours in advance to ensure a good seat.

Moreover, you can take in the views of the picturesque Swan River and Perth city in the west and the foothills in the east.

There’s no need to wait for photographers’ and videographers’ works to appear in the news when you can bring your own camera and capture tons of memories yourself.

Visitors of all ages have year-round access to many amenities as well. This includes Chevron Parkland’s natural playgrounds, the BHP Boardwalk and amphitheatre, picnic and barbecue areas, public art installations, and recreation centres.

For your convenience, every bar (sports bar Perth), restaurant, and retail store inside the stadium offers contactless EFTPOS and credit card services.

You also have the chance to eat at the buffet or à la carte restaurants that overlook the Swan River thanks to the Stadium Park that surrounds it.

On days when there are no major events, the stadium offers free public parking, too!

Private parking is available at the Bus Station and Camfield car parks, which can be reached from Roger Mackay Drive or Camfield Drive, as well as the Marlee Loop car park.

During major events, however, note that Optus Stadium’s parking lots will be off-limits to the general public. We suggest that you find another place to park your car or use public transportation to avoid any hassle.

If you’re looking for a sizable park with lots of playgrounds, picnic areas, and walking and cycling pathways, we think you should check out Burswood Park next.

Only minutes from the city and the airport, we encourage visitors to enjoy the beautiful gardens, flower arrangements, sculptures, and lots of open space here.

The park is open all year to people of all ages and abilities, too, and it’s often used for community events.

It’s advisable to carry plenty of water to keep hydrated because Perth can get very hot, especially in the summer. We also believe it’s smart to put on a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen while you’re at it.

Moreover, it would be nice to take a stroll with friends along the foreshore as well. This offers views of the city, with several of Perth’s top attractions nearby, like the Matagarup Bridge.

The park also offers walkways for both walking and biking and other amenities. Just keep in mind that BBQs, gazebos, and picnic areas are on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved by private parties.

Now, there are 2 entrances to the park off the Great Eastern Highway. You can also get to the park from the Graham Farmer Freeway via Victoria Park Drive.

Those who want to lessen their carbon footprint and avoid parking issues may also take the bus or train to Burswood Park instead.

Are you planning to stay overnight in Victoria Park? Then, we believe it will do you good to find a fantastic place to stay!

Despite the neighbourhood’s abundance of well-known heritage style pubs, we think The Crown Perth is the centre of Victoria Park’s nightlife.

For those feeling lucky, why not try your hand at one of the games at the casino?

It has a wide range of games, including slots, table games, and poker.

If you get tired of the casino’s energy, we suggest going to the spa or the resort’s pool for some pampering and relaxation. You may also roam through the lovely grounds, which have walking paths and lush gardens.

The resort also includes a nightclub, a theatre, meeting rooms, 2 ballrooms, a convention centre, and other recreational facilities.

From casual cafés and restaurants to fine dining establishments (fine dining restaurants Perth), the resort is home to a wide range of dining options.

In our opinion, you’re likely to find something to suit your tastes, whether you’re in the mood for a quick snack or a multi-course meal.

Quick tip: When visiting Crown Perth, remember that it’s a smart-casual location. It’s ideal to check ahead of time if there are any stricter dress rules for places like the casino and some restaurants.

Take a Stroll at G.O. Edwards Park

Do you sometimes feel the urge to take a peaceful walk in the park? From the top end of Victoria Park, you’ll only need to take a short stroll to G.O. Edwards Park.

The park’s middle lake has a bird hide here, too. Plus, it has nice grassy areas throughout the majority of its size.

We appreciate how serene this place is, given how close it is to such a busy highway. In our opinion, this is among the best places to temporarily get away from the hustle culture in the city.

For those who want to get fit, there are paths in the park that lead to natural play and exercise spots. Some of them are close to the climbing wall which means parents can conveniently work out while their children are kept occupied and happy.

For the kids, the red tunnel slide carved into the hillside dominates the playground, which also has a climbing wall, swings, a sand digger, and sound tubes.

Just know that there’s limited one hour ticketed parking available nearby on Burswood Road. Otherwise, you may go to the ticketed Hawthorne Place parking lot.

Fortunately, parking is free and unrestricted after hours or on weekends. It’s best to take advantage of that by planning your trip during those times.

Opening Hours: Open 24 hours

For those who appreciate art galleries and historical sites, we believe the Heritage Circle would be a meaningful stop. This hidden gem, in our opinion, is built for comfort in the shade and a relaxing stroll.

Respected sculptors from the area, Charles Smith and Joan Walsh-Smith, have pieces displayed in Ireland, China, and all around Australia.

Heritage Circle is a collection of old structures and monuments that honour Perth’s diverse cultural heritage. You can take your time looking around each monument and learning about its significance and history.

We think this is a nice place to reflect or meditate away from all the noise of the city. Taking some time to unwind can do wonders for your mental health.

For your reference, look for the main map showing where the natives live. In addition, a series of tablets will show pictures of their sports and recreation, architecture, and transportation.

Along with tables and chairs, there are also BBQ amenities available. There’s a playground to keep the kids entertained as well.

At the end of your trip, the fountains offer some wonderful photo opportunities, too!

Travel tip: To avoid the heat of the day and to view the park at its best, it’s advisable to visit early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

Visit the Vic Park Market

Opening Hours: Sunday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Planning to cook with some fresh and tasty ingredients? Why not get your produce from the Vic Park Market?

This market is known for having a wide range of options, from fresh fruits and vegetables to local street food. Coffee and breakfast dishes are also available for purchase, so you can get a good start on your day.

They offer a variety of stalls selling crafts and other homemade goods as well. Because of this, we suggest that you prepare a list or budget plan before going, if you know what we mean.

Still, you may try to haggle or get lower prices. The market is a great place to find a lot of interesting items, so maximise your chances of acquiring items you might not see on your next visit.

Additionally, each week there’s live musical entertainment in the area. You may enjoy this while taking a walk or having breakfast with loved ones.

A bounce house and a face painter for the kids are also available if the day permits it. Of course, the market requires visitors to be prepared for any weather, which can be warm and sunny one day or cold and rainy the next.

Also, keep in mind that the market may get busy on the weekends, so be ready to go through crowds and lines.
