Do you sometimes feel the urge to take a peaceful walk in the park? From the top end of Victoria Park, you’ll only need to take a short stroll to G.O. Edwards Park.
The park’s middle lake has a bird hide here, too. Plus, it has nice grassy areas throughout the majority of its size.
We appreciate how serene this place is, given how close it is to such a busy highway. In our opinion, this is among the best places to temporarily get away from the hustle culture in the city.
For those who want to get fit, there are paths in the park that lead to natural play and exercise spots. Some of them are close to the climbing wall which means parents can conveniently work out while their children are kept occupied and happy.
For the kids, the red tunnel slide carved into the hillside dominates the playground, which also has a climbing wall, swings, a sand digger, and sound tubes.
Just know that there’s limited one hour ticketed parking available nearby on Burswood Road. Otherwise, you may go to the ticketed Hawthorne Place parking lot.
