OPENING HOURSMonday – Sunday: 8:30 AM – 5:15 PM

Searching for an adventure that will take you to the end of the world (or at least the end of a really long pier)? Then, we suggest visiting the Busselton Jetty!

Busselton Jetty is one of the must-see sites in Peppermint Grove. It’s among the top spots for both tourists and residents in the city, so we figured anyone new to the suburb must go there at least once.

But before all else, make sure you put on comfortable shoes to avoid any hassle – the jetty is over 1.8 km long! If you walk all day in discomfort, we think you might end up seeing a podiatrist sooner or later.

Also, make sure to check the weather forecast before going to the jetty and make plans accordingly.

Travel tip: December to February is the ideal time to travel because this is when the weather is pleasant and sunny.

It’s best to bring sun protection too! A hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses can be your best friends amid the heat.

Though if you don’t feel like walking the entire length of the jetty, we recommend taking a train instead. We feel this would be convenient for kids who easily become impatient and the elderly who just want a chill time.

Still, it’s best to buy your tickets online ahead of time for the Jetty Train. This will ensure you a seat, since they can be crowded during peak seasons.

And once you’re there, you can just sit back and unwind as the train driver transports you through the peaceful, clear waters.

Alternatively, the Underwater Observatory at the end of the jetty can also give you a unique and unforgettable experience. With its breathtaking views, we think you can capture photos like a professional photographer in no time.

The staff will lead you through the natural wonders that are 8 m below the ocean’s surface. This is where you can see many tropical and subtropical corals, sponges, fish, and invertebrates.

Moreover, there are several cafés and restaurants where you can eat local food after a long day. Their local specialty of fish and chips is among our favourites too, so we suggest giving this pair a try!

Overall, we believe it would do everyone good to keep the area clean. In addition, it’s advisable not to bother the wildlife and to pay attention to all the warnings posted around Busselton Jetty for your safety.

OPENING HOURSMonday – Tuesday & Thursday – Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Want a ‘tree-mendous’ adventure that will leave you feeling like a wild, jungle-swinging extraordinaire? If that’s the case, we feel you might like Forest Adventures South West’s adrenaline-pumping outdoor experience.

These adventure grounds cover 8 acres of pristine natural bushland. This active site will have visitors zipping, climbing, and swinging through the treetops like Tarzan (or Jane, if that’s more your style).

But if you prefer a peaceful activity, you may also have a picnic with your loved ones. This location has many quiet spaces for you to enjoy.

Since you’ll be spending a lot of time outdoors and engaging in numerous activities, it’s good to wear clothes you can easily move in. You don’t want to risk tearing your pants while you’re ziplining, do you?

Friendly tip: We think carrying some insect repellent can be helpful for your exposed skin.

You might run into some nasty bugs in the natural environment. Mindless touching or scratching the itch may just infect it or be a handful for your dermatologist (dermatologist Perth) to fix later.

And because the site is a popular attraction, getting your tickets in advance is a sure advantage. It would be a waste of time to take too long at the entry when you have a bunch of activities to try.

Lastly, don’t be in a rush! Consider spending the entire day there because there’s a lot to see and do at Forest Adventures South West.

Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or just looking to dip your toes, we believe that seafaring adventure with Geographe Maritime Charters is a fine way to see the sights and soak up the sun.

Here, you’ll be able to see the natural beauty of our coastline, seals, and seabirds – not to mention the distant horizon!

Within 10 minutes, you may also see some cute dolphins swimming alongside the boat. Travel tip: Bring your camera, or better yet, binoculars, so you’ll be the first to find them!

It’s possible to see some jumping humpback whales too! Around 35,000 whales migrate through Geographe Bay, making it one of the whale migration hotspots in the world.

Of course, like most voyages, it’s smart to pay attention to the safety briefing and abide by the crew’s directives.

Even if a lot of their staff are first aid certified, maintaining your presence of mind (or just common sense) would be crucial during an emergency.

And because Geographe Maritime Charters is dedicated to sustainable tourism, we also advise treating the environment and marine life with care – especially even while you’re on holiday.

Travellers of all ages would love Aquatastic! We feel this is among the places where the sun, sand, and sea combine to create a fantastic experience.

Right off the bat, you’ll see that this is an exciting inflatable water park. It offers various exhilarating water rides, wave pools, and other activities that will leave visitors with some fun memories.

To avoid waiting in line for rides, you can beat the crowds by getting to the park in the morning. There’s not a lot of shade here, so remember to protect yourself from the sun with sunscreen, a hat, and comfortable swimwear.

Friendly tip: You can avoid hauling your things throughout the park by renting a locker for a low cost!

It’s crucial to stay hydrated as well, so pack a water bottle and fill it up frequently.

You can recharge over the course of your day at the park too. This is thanks to the range of food and beverage options available at Aquatastic, including snacks, beverages, and full meals.

And despite the fact that the majority of shops here take credit cards, it’s always a good idea to pack some cash just in case.

OPENING HOURSOpen 24 hours

Feel like it’s time to lace up your hiking boots? Avid hikers and enthusiasts might find their inner peace in Tuart Forest National Park – it offers a lovely retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The park is a tranquil area that’s great for picnics, walks through the forest, and wildlife watching as well.

Of course, planning is essential before visiting Tuart Forest National Park. Make sure to pack proper attire, study the weather forecast, and bring enough food and water for the trip.

Your excursion should begin at the Tuart Forest National Park visitor centre. Here, we recommend getting as much information as you can about the park’s past, maps, trail guides, and suggestions on where to go.

Travel tip: Come in the spring to witness a riot of colour as the wildflowers blossom.

Perhaps it’s good to have your eyes checked in your favourite clinic if needed – the clearer your sight, the better you can appreciate the views!

We believe the park is a haven for animal lovers too! Kangaroos, emus, and various bird species can be found in the park, along with numerous other animals.

Still, it’s best to keep your distance and not harm their habitat. You should also keep an eye out for the several varieties of fungi there during the rainier months.

And since Tuart Forest National Park is a protected area, environmental sensitivity is important. Stay on approved trails and go on a buddy system for your sake.

OPENING HOURSMonday – Sunday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

If you’re looking for a unique way to experience the beauty of Perth’s coastline, look no further than Swan Dive.

We suggest taking a stroll along the Swan River first. The waterfront is a great place to relax or meditate while looking at the beautiful city skyline.

Divers are also welcome to explore the stunning waters. You’ll find the dive centre at Port Geographe Marina, where you can get dive equipment, air fills, servicing, dive courses, or dive boat charter trips.

There are several other outdoor activities to do as well! You can rent a bike and ride down the river, go on a kayak tour, or enjoy both.

Guests may also go to Cottesloe Beach, which is close by and renowned for its stunning white sand and clean waters. Just remember that only the south part is the dog-friendly beach.

Swan Dive offers a wide array of dining options for foodies too! Check out a few of the restaurants for some fresh and tasty seafood.

But if you don’t feel like eating fish at the moment, no worries! Another must-try food in the region is the well-known Western Australian barbeque.

Friendly tip: Don’t have enough food? We recommend paying a visit to the neighbourhood markets.

While the artisan markets provide one-of-a-kind, handmade goods ideal for mementos, this is also a terrific spot to buy some fresh produce.

OPENING HOURSMonday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Are you a fan of time-travel movies? Visit Wonnerup House and you’ll feel like you went back in time to the early days of Western Australia, when life was simpler but no less fascinating.

For everyone interested in the history of this lovely region, the place is a must-visit because of its exquisite architecture, beautiful gardens, and fascinating stories.

Fun fact: This was once a historic farmstead from the 1800s. Now, it’s a museum full of wonders, and tours are available to the general public.

While it’s fun to explore everything on your own, we recommend considering a guided tour to fully understand the house’s history and architecture.

The skilled tour guides will lead you through each room, give interesting anecdotes, and address any queries you may have.

Moreover, you may prepare a list (or mental notes if you can) beforehand, so you won’t miss anything. Check out the lovely gardens, antique stables, blacksmith shop, and beautifully preserved furniture while you’re there.

Travel tip: Make sure to wake up early and schedule your day accordingly. This is because the trip will take some time – the Wonnerup House is 2 hours south of Perth!

Yet, you may easily ride a bus or train to get there. There’s plenty of on-site parking for car owners too.
